One of the best rpg sandboxes since Skyrim with the quest design akin to The Witcher 3.

I seriously recommend playing the first game to enjoy this game to the fullest potential and appreciate all of its upgrades over the first.

There is so much to do and the game always pays back the players choices in meaningful ways that are tangible and clever.

I tried.

I played this game at launch and dropped shortly after. I played it a little before the dlc came out with a bunch of mods installed. It was easier to digest that way but the game just feels like there's something missing. I played the dlc and it failed to capture my attention.

This game isn't bad by any means it's just extremely disappointing. The hallmarks of a Bethesda game aka the exploration has been gutted for soulless planetary exploration with few good moments sprinkled in between.

The game is a serious slog to get through. Only pick it up when it's on a deep sale and mod the hell out of it. Otherwise it ain't worth your money.

Review for 1.0 release.

The crystal hunt mode is cool don't expect a full fledged immersive story mode. It's more just adding progression mechanics and cool new dungeons to the game. The dungeon and world design is done very well. You'll catch yourself staring at the scenery a lot in between being a murderous psycho.

From what I can tell the spell upgrades are fun to use and add many different combat options. For example I upgraded gravity magic and imbued my sledge hammer with it and sent people flying everywhere. The weapon variety is nice. As for the combat you'll find no better physics based sword combat anywhere else.

Overall I hope the game gets more updates or the devs really take a crack at making a fully fledged immersive vr rpg. The sandbox mode and crystal hunt mode will definitely give you a lot of mileage especially with mods. The game is a lot of fun and is a must have for any vr enthusiast!

One of the best role-playing experiences.

Listen this game has a lot of dialogue, no this game is dialogue but the quality of the voice acting, writing, and world building really immerse you into this reflective yet unique and harshly beautiful world. You'll find that your choices do carry consequences but allow for various routes throughout the story. Everything is intertwined and detailed as a CRPG should be.

While a satisfying experience I yearned for more, wanting to dive deeper into this world. I'm sure you all know the state of the company and the chances of ever seeing this world fully realized the way the creative minds of this world had envisioned are slim. I do find hope in the small glimpse and window that I got to peer through and grateful with the time I spent, as the game got me to think and feel in which games rarely do in this modern era.

Basically a glorified vr tech demo.

Powers are cool and work well.
World is very empty with very little to do other than fight boring robot enemies.

This game apparently is now full release ?
I don't know if that means no more support or updates but this game could do for workshop support.

If you just wanna test out cool powers in a city in vr then yeah buy it but not much else.
