I didn't really like my previous review of this game, I felt like it deserves a better one, as this is my favorite game of all time.

This game changed me.
To put it in a simple perspective, it awakened my hyperfixation and love towards space. I never really took interest in astronomy beforehand, but after playing this game, it has become one of my most liked hobby and interest.
However, going deeper into my love for this masterpiece, it's not only just my favorite game, but a part of me. It's soundtrack is beautifully made, every song gives you this curious but comforting vibe, some tracks make you unsettled at the start, just to transition it into sweet melancholy, and finally, peace. (Yes im talking about Castaways :3) The visuals are just as immaculate as the OST of the game. Each planet in this small solar system is handcrafted, and is perfect to the last detail. They all have their part of a big story to tell, some of them are dangerous, and thrilling to explore, while others just give you a sense of home, and relaxation. The characters, while not having extremely complicated personalities, are all loveable and feel alive. These 3 key factors, and the game's playflow makes you feel like you are not the center of everything. You are part of something bigger. Everything exists around you.

And the most important part obviously: The story. (SPOILERS!!)
Outer Wilds's story is in my opinion the most beautifully constructed media on this planet. (Pun intended) It doesn't force itself in your face, doesn't give you big objective markers. The game's drive is it's sense for a solution, and a sense of purpose afterwards. As you start the story, about after an hour of gameplay, you become confident in your goal: To save your galaxy from dying and figure out why are you in a timeloop. However as you investigate the gripping mystery, and learn more about the galaxy, you slowly make your way towards The Sun Station, where the game shatters (almost) everything. You cannot save the galaxy. This is where you feel like you are looking for a purpose. There must be something more to it, right?
As you progress with your studies regarding the Nomai, and how everything works around you, you are faced with a new goal. The Eye of The Universe. This is where you as a player elevate to a much greater eagerness and curiosity. You don't know what it is. You don't know how to find it. Yet you feel like you have to. Maybe it will save your galaxy somehow? How would something so far, and so impossible to locate could save your galaxy, that is dying to natural causes anyways? You don't know the answers to these questions, yet you keep going forward. As you reach the conclusion of the game, you realize you did in fact have a goal all this time. A goal greater than you (probably) ever anticipated. You not only have a purpose, but you are taking place in something that is much, much bigger than you. Yet you as a concious observer still remain the most important person in this big creation. Your curiosity, your craving of knowledge has rewarded you. You are not only saving your galaxy, but you are saving the dying Universe as a whole.

Outer Wilds taught me a lot. It taught me that in the grand scheme of Life, even something as big as an entire civilisation can vanish in an instant. It taught me that even tho the world doesn't revolve around you, you can still take part in something bigger. It taught me that even when all hope is lost, there is always a hidden force driving us towards a better future, lifting us from rock bottom.
This game is something that everyone must experience at least once. If you read this far, you probably already experienced it yourself, but if you just disregarded my spoilers and read it anyways, please still play it.

11/10 I would knock myself out really hard, so I could get to re-experience this again ::)
