really fun little development experiment, it's a shockingly spot-on mechanical recreation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
It even has a few mechanics that sekiro lacks that I think are really fun (such as a boss with dual wielded katanas, and a boss who performs back-to-back perilous attacks

check it out and keep an eye on this developer!

I got gifted this game for PS5 shortly after buying it but couldn't refund it. Nonetheless I played it to completion, so disregard to tiny playtime lol

As a kid I was an avid fan of the Sly Cooper games. If you're not familiar, they're a quadrilogy of stealth-action 3D platformers themed as a comic noir type story. They're incredibly fun games and I sincerely recommend them, especially if you liked this game.

Anyhow that leads me to my main point. I've long been on a crusade of sorts to find a game that would invoke that same action-stealth-platforming hybrid that seemingly no other game besides Sly has ever pulled off. Playing this game was like the moment in Ratatouille where the food critic gets a flashback to eating his mother's cooking as a child. It's like a smartly crafted hybrid of both Sly Cooper and a little bit of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, with just the tiniest sprinkle of Hitman thrown in for good measure.

My only strong critiques are that the controls overall are a tad bit clunky (especially the combat, but from certain perspectives that could be argued as actually quite good game design), the environments are slightly samey, and there's no New Game Plus to encourage a full playthrough with all the cool abilities you unlock during the course of the game.

Conclusion: Aragami 2 is one of my favorite games I've ever played. I'm in the middle of my second playthrough and having a blast just like I did the first time. Worth every penny you pay, worth every second you spend with it.

Rest easy, Lince Works. I hope the extraordinary talent you once had has found steady employment elsewhere, they deserve the world after this masterpiece

it's pretty good so far! only complaint is that the regular combat is kinda clunky but the colossus sequences are fun
