Star Valor has been around for a hot minute, and it is one of those games that has not only aged very well, but continues to remain a passion project of the developer, and this DLC is no different.

I waited for this DLC for 2 or more years, and kept coming back to look to see if it had been released, and when it has, I was actually severely disappointed as it was not layed out the way I had pictured it to be. As I spent a month being slightly angsty and dissatisfied, I remained in denial about the fact that I had spent 3 weeks playing nothing but Star Valor and enjoying every minute of this DLC.

The Base building DLC has it's pros and cons, and probably the most major con is the fact that it Very Dramatically changes the Star Valor game. I will say that it is not perfectly integrated into the flow of the normal game, as many components overshadow and supersede core gameplay by leaps and bounds to the point that it probably should have just been it's own gamemode seperate from it, but I cannot deny that it's current implimentation has brought me a lot of enjoyment, and I not for one second ever regretted picking it up.

The DLC is still being improved upon, and several balances and changes have occurred since it's release and it looks like it's going to get better.

With the gameplay content that this "DLC" Adds, I argue that it is not even a DLC, more so just an expansion, and is probably worth more than the asking price.
