Really wanted to enjoy this game, the graphics are pretty nice. The car customisation is really cool and painting although clunky is very good. Haven't played much but the story looks interesting and engaging, even if a bit lame (this is a driving game after all). The menus are nice and the world seems pretty open.

However the driving mechanics are so unbelievably lame and atrocious. The brake button seems to be a waste of time and I just tap accelerate to automatically drift. I can't tell if what I'm doing is fast because it is so unrealistic. Will not finish the game because I cannot bear the awful physics.

On top of this objects that you think should destroy your car and stop you dead (trees, lampposts etc) will disappear on contact with basically no penalty. But the course markers if touched slow you to a crawl and there is no forgiveness sliding along them. The physics for objects is so mixed that it just feels silly.

CS2 has cut content from its predecessor, which is poor. But fundamentally the goated esport fps title is still the same game that it was a decade ago, thankfully
