tl;dr

Gameplay is amazing, story is stupid, too few weapons / characters, the main character is a Gary Stu that everyone loves and can do no wrong, and I do emphasize on the "Love" part once you hear some of the steamy conversations the characters have

In summary, RoTK 8 Remake lives up to being a remake of 8, improving all aspects of it, but doesn't go further beyond that.
Marred by poor AI and not bringing out all the contents and improvements they have made in the RPG portion of the game (such as prestige from ROTK13 which I honestly think they are holding back for a power-up kit for this game) I don't believe this game has reached it's full potential.

It's still a good game for RoTK Fans though, and I still recommend it, but if you are looking for something greater 8 Remake hasn't reached that point, yet.

I played EDF for years and I am sure I will enjoy this game too. And as such I am willing to support this game by buying it, but I will leave a negative review for recent scummy practices. (Though if I could help it I would prefer there being more than a yes or no answer for situations like this)

I like how they only mentioned the need for an Epic account AFTER the pre-order period...

I got all the achievements and completed the game on the highest difficulty possible.
The only reason for that is because this game is absolutely amazing.
The story is great, the game play is great, and the music is great.
Looking forward to more games they make in the future!

Now that Sony Hitler with their heads up their asses like it's still the PS1-3 era has been defeated and sent to the shadow realm by the power of Democracy, I have no reason to complain about a good game. (I am still looking forward to EDF6 tho)

I feel like something such as not being able to play without a linked PSN account should be in a huge message box that moves all over the screen like an old windows virus causing you to consciously chase it around before you can actually buy the game lol

Not sure what safety is being compromised by not using PSN but I guess there's always the OG Earth Defense Force instead of some copy being ran into the ground by undemocratic suits

I am recommending the game for being a good game, only reason why it's being viewed negatively is because Capcom made the same stupid decision to make Rift Crystal microtransactions again (they had it in the first game, but removed it later)

Adding on top of other stupid things like not being able to start new games and FPS issues in town, they shot themselves in the foot for their negligence.

The game itself is fun though, too bad stupid shareholders exists

In all seriousness this game is an example of a fine indie game, it might even look fun to play in VR. What with the driving, shooting, and slashing of tires, the day job of being a border guard isn't the only thing in store for players.

Some complaints is that most of your fellow police are basically furniture except during a base assault, which is the main reason why you would even hire them (only other reason is the prison guard), they don't transport things for you (it would be interesting if they do and sometimes they might even steal the contraband for themselves if they are crooked cops) nor do they accompany you on missions, so as the new commander of the post you seem to be forced to do EVERYTHING except being a leader, nothing will ever get done without you...the entire station AND it's newcomers will wait for your return.

Though you COULD gain the luxury of having stuff done for you down the line, the cops will charge you 500 dollars to have prisoners and contraband transported, you lose out on your gains by doing this and that's kinda dumb considering your position...so more busy work driving it is.

Vlad I can understand though, since he is an independent shopkeeper so having him come over at a cost makes sense.

Additionally, while the game has some replayability (in choosing to play for another faction in the story) I don't really like the way it is handled, for example when you finish your final mission your game is just finished so if you have stuff you needed to do for achievements you are stuck playing a new game for that...except well, the game is mostly a bunch of busy work, they are fun for the first times but once you get done learning all the routine and game mechanics near the end of the first game it all feels very bland.

The story provided for both factions are not enough to get past another full game of busy work in my opinion, though they share different outcomes (in a singular picture with some descriptions) all the missions are the same except for the final mission, which is a quite a bit lazy. The whole rebel path feels like a waste of opportunity because there is a lot of potential for being a double agent there, but instead both paths plays the same and that is most unfortunate, you will mainly be doing it for the achievements.

Enclosed are my experience playing this game and beating this game for 15 hours, I took my time looking at all the gameplay and messed around quite a bit, so I hope it will be enough for a full experience for those who wants to look at the actual gameplay

Elden Ring is a great game, I love the environment, interesting world and the assorted array of boss battles. It is a souls game and more, so why the negative review?

At first I thought maybe I am just being bad, but as I kept going into the game I noticed that there is always a slight delay after I push my button before I actually start rolling, so I adjust by dodging sooner and then I end up eating attacks anyway because now it's too soon and everyone and their mother punishes that.

I have come to the conclusion that this game is more of a predictive game than a reactive game, that means that I would have to actually purposefully ignore what my gut senses are telling me - which really messes me up...imagine a counter puncher who sees a moment for a counter but their body simply won't move fast enough to actually pull it off.

I will still finish the game since I bought it, but if I had known sooner I would have skipped this game because this sort of delay was not in any of the previous souls games I have played and I find the idea of having quick reaction time be punished rather unacceptable
