Fun concept, good mechanics but honestly just too hard. The game throws absolutely insurmountable odds at you almost every playthrough, even on the easiest of difficulties. Pirate queen encounter in sector 2 encounter is pretty much a guaranteed loss. Ballistics are too powerful compared to energy weapons, ect.

Solid 4x. Blend of Endless Space and Endless Legend, for the most part. A lot of reviews talk about bugs, I have NOT encountered a single game breaking bug so far. A few VERY minor ones. No issues with multiplayer so far either.

Pros:
- Very pretty
- Intuitive interface, very rare for a space-themed 4x game
- Unique factions with major gameplay/strategy changes... not just minor rock paper scissors balance
- Great lore, art, presentation
- FUN

Cons:
- It can take a while to process a turn, especially if your map is big
- Tech screen is even more of a mess than ES1. It can take you a while to figure out what you need to research to do what you want to do.
- Diplomacy/AI could use some work. AI seems eratic/manic depressive. Jumps to conclusions. Acts like my ex.
