lots of recent controversy pertaining to netease's patent on "engagement-oriented matchmaking"

with that out of the way: this game is pretty fun for now . for how long this'll last? best not to think on that. i enjoyed overwatch for upward of maybe 4 years from launch and i stuck-out the other 4 year drought that was brought alongside the "launch" of overwatch "2"-- until rivals ended up on the collective laps of unsuspecting gamers.

"a chinese mobile game company can make something that doesn't feel like poopy butt ass?" turns out the answer is: yes. for the most part. it's relative jank lies somewhere at the in-between of paladins and overwatch. polished, but with a lot of funny physics interactions and other things not working as intended. examples include: punisher zipline, mantis m1 not lining up 100% with the center of your crosshair, hitbox displacement you can cheese by manipulating your camera, hela's evade cooldown (the one where you shapeshift into a bird) will clip into invisible geometry and "stop" you you will get robbed due to the occasional bug; but even overwatch had this in the early days.


my ACTUAL complaints:
>while it's dandy that you get to keep your purchased battle passes- all progress made on said pass is RESET with each new season. that sucks.
>why is it cheaper to buy the $0.99 '100 lattice' bundle x5 or x10 than it is to by the ACTUAL 500 ($4.99) or 1000 (9.99) lattice bundles? it's not by much; but it's still an odd proposition, lol
>game runs like ass. (that being said, it's probably the best running unreal 5 game to-date)
>crashes will happen depending on specific hardware, os, and the phases of the moon
