Best iteration of the Souls-like franchises delivered by Fromsoft. Combat and options to gear the character are way more fluid and varied than their previous titles, the world is vast and can be explored as much as you want outside of the "main quest" content (Although in that case there are quite a lot of repurposed boss fights) and the story feels grandiose (albeit told in the minimalistic Fromsoft way).

The soundtrack is amazing, either as the background sound of world exploration or the epic-themed boss soundtracks. Memorable and amazing-sounding.

And to top it off, the DLC delivered during this year did not dissapoint. The art direction is superb and some of the boss fights top and even surpass those of the main game (some are quite overwhelming to fight, but, at least for me, the narrative and 'operatic' feel of them it's enough to balance the many tries that I needed to beat them. Curse you Bayle!).
