I love this game so much that I have a habit of buying it for all my closest friends. Even if they don't like this type of game.

I've sunk many hours into DOD and no doubt I'll sink many more. It may have it's bugs and flaws, but it's character easily overrides that.

It's witty; Creatures will call you names as they gather around you, whittling you down into various piles of giblets.
It has charm and personality, but it isn't a pushover. If you manage to even get to Lord Dredmor, you can bet your ass you're not prepared enough to beat him.
The skills are ridiculous, some may even harm you in the long run. If you dare to roll random, you'll always be in for a challenge.
You can kill yourself by kicking down doors. There's even an achievement for it.
It has squeaky noises.

It's silly, re-playable and hard to win. That's all I really want in a game, personally.
