Early Access Review
Overall a good game. Solo play can be a ton of fun. But beyond that there are some real issues for continued fun. Official servers are a griefers paradise and the devs not only don't care, but likely encourage it given their refusal to address issues and/or even implement features (e.g. No building at obis, no blocking resources, etc.).

And then there's the fact that the game is constantly referred to as alpha-still being built- and yet the devs seemed to have recently gone on a money grab by releasing a DLC and charging $20 for it, a DLC which, by the way, contains features essentially promised to folks who purchased the original game. So they take our money, start working on the game, but then use it to build other versions that they then try to charge us for. That's like me paying a guy to mow my lawn, who then goes out and buy a bigger better mower, before ever cutting my grass, and comes back and charges me more to cut my grass, the grass which he still hasn't cut once.

Why that comparison? The main game is loaded with bugs. But rather than fix that, the devs just spent months developing and release more paid content. Seriously? It appears they care nothing for their audience, only the next buck. Yes I do expect this of businesses- I know- but it makes one weary of so called alpha stage games--- we bought a movie that wasn't finished and started watching, and instead of the devs using our money to finish the movie, they filmed a sequel and then charged us for the sequel- a sequel we'd already paid for.

So can I recommend it? Sadly there is so much to like about this game. And many of us have logged 1,000+ hours in the game. But honestly, if the devs are giving up on making a bugless playing experience, how can I recommended it? Who wants a product that appears to be losing support? It won't be long and we will see more paid content, and the main game that's already behind in the devs promised date of a true release, will be abandoned. The only chance, the only voice, we have is to stop throwing money at it. So wait-don't make our mistake- don't purchase this until after it's officially released-- because it may never be.
