Amber Isle is an adorable game similar to the likes of Animal Crossing in which you play as an adorable Paleofolk shopkeep! I love the character customization and character designs for the NPCs, as well as the shop customization options. The game is in early access and, as such, is still buggy. The main bugs are softlocks in the tutorial and iffy camera angles that can cause motion sickness. I often suffer from motion sickness in games, although I also used to get cybersickness from staring at a screen all day during the pandemic, so the motion sickness with the camera issue varies from person-to-person, however, especially in the Meadows, there are areas where the camera will flail about helplessly like a fish and obscure your character from view. In my experience, this hasn't detracted much from the game itself.

The game is adorable, all and all, and has a very comfortable atmosphere to it. The characters are very cute and cuddly, and not at all without personality! I love the old grump of a mayor, and found it hilarious when he sold me a basket and them proceeded to buy the basket back from me the following evening for more than he sold it for. Gameplay wise, the game is heavy on the shopkeeping and crafting aspects (as expected), which can become very repetitive, very quickly. I wouldn't say to let this deter you if you enjoy casual games with a repetitive game loop. I'm often absorbed in the likes of Planet Zoo nowadays due to being so busy with work and college, so I actually really enjoy the gameloop. It's comfortable, and doesn't require you to be constantly focused on the game to remember what you were doing in long games with convoluted storylines (as much as I love them, I simply don't have the time for complicated RPGs anymore).

All-in-all, it's a cute fun game to sit back and wind down after a day of work with, and I look forward to seeing the future of the game's development. Also, to the review that called the game awful and whined about a refund: you poured seven hours in. No duh Steam won't refund you, and why pour seven hours into a game you detest?

Honestly? Not as enjoyable as Planet Zoo. Planet Coaster provides a lot of customization options. It's a great game if you're into that sort of thing.

Planet Zoo is a really cute, fun way to unwind after a long day of work and studying. I highly recommend the game.

I bought it, I'm guilty. I'm a completionist and I want to have all the DLC at some point, but like... All the other packs are $9.99, and they have more value than this. $12 for three animals. An hour of my pay for three animals.

Early Access Review
For an early access game, this game already has a lot to offer. The UI is great and easy to manage. The game took me a minute to learn how to really "get good" at, but it made it more fun!! The game is addictive (HIGHLY) and a fun way to unwind after the stress of work, while being a nice break from the games I usually play.

This game is *amazing.* I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I bought it, but I saw it on sale and the colorful art style drew me in.. I have to say, it has not disappointed! The art is great and the story seems cute. It's kid friendly with jokes that I also cracked up at despite being 18 years old. Coppertop's constant anxiety, Book rubbing things in people's faces, and Brokin I found particularly funny and relateable. We stan Brokin. All in all, it's a cute, relaxing game I'd recommend to those who like games such as Stardew Valley or Slime Rancher!

Early Access Review
Pekoe is an adorable game about making tea for cats in the small town of Pekoe. You can discover recipes, befriend the cats in town, and decorate your home. The game has little to do beyond that, but I've found that to be sufficient for a satisfying experience thus far. A majority of games seem to focus on longevity, but I'm honestly not too concerned about it. Due to the repetitive nature, it's definitely not the kind of game you'd sit down and play for eight hours straight, I can tell you that much already even with only roughly two hours on my belt currently. The models are beautifully made works of art each themselves, and the overall aesthetic of the game is adorable and very nice. It's clear a lot of love has been put into making the game. I'd say it's well worth it's $17 price mark, and it's clear the developers have still been pouring time and effort into the game, and for an indie title it's great, honestly. Updates aren't super regular, but a large seasons update was posted a few months ago, so it's not surprising there haven't been many after (save for a few patches) since it was, again, a larger update from an indie studio.

Whether or not you should get Pekoe really boils down to the types of games you enjoy, and the importance of new content to you. If making tea over and over and chatting with cats over and over sounds like it'd get old to you, I can't say I'd recommend the game. But if you're looking for a casual, cute game to sit down and play every now and then, this game seems perfect for that. The music is relaxing, and the sound effects for speech are adorable and very personalized. I noticed the tea sprite sounds like it's saying "tea coffee", and the cats all sound like they're saying different variations of the word "meow," which are both really nice and cute details. I appreciate when developers pay attention to small things like that.
