Goofy silly robot guys finding treasures while avoiding monsters. What's not to love? The player eyes tracking sounds and voices was an unexpected and hilarious surprise. Really really fun game, we had an absolute blast!

To say I was disappointed in the MSQ would be an understatement. Terrible pacing, shockingly bad voice acting, and atrocious, repetitive and laughably childish dialogue that makes me wonder how it ever was greenlit to begin with, and then Wuk Lamat, who is forced upon you at every turn. I enjoyed Wuk Lamat in 6.55, but her omnipresence in 7.0 is diabolical. I found myself, for the very first time in the ten years I have been playing FFXIV, rushing through dialogue and clipping voiced cut scenes so I could get back to playing the game - which was a struggle in itself given that during the MSQ we're barely presented with the opportunity to actually play the game. It's a mess of "Talk to Wuk Lamat" > go here "Talk to Wuk Lamat" > do X thing for Wuk Lamat > "Talk to Wuk Lamat" > ... you get it.

Normally, I'm excited and on the edge of my seat waiting for the big reveal and finale of the MSQ. That wasn't the case here. I felt bored, impatiently waiting for the credits to role so that I could finally do something fun, like the dungeons and trials which have been amazing so far - a bright spot in an otherwise terrible expansion. I will say, though, that the level 100 trial was a disappointment for me. I didn't enjoy Wuk Lamat breaking through the ceiling for several reasons, but mostly because I'm tired of seeing that gimmick. We saw it in Shadowbringers (Thancred breaks through during Hades) and again in Endwalker (Zenos/Shinryu headbutting his way in during Endsinger). I am begging Square, please stop. It was awesome the first time, but now we just expect it and it's tired.

While the trials and dungeons, and the newly released 8-man raids are very fun, I find it impossible to rate the game higher given that the draw for me and many others is the story, and it was unfortunately severely lacking.

Playing this in 2024 is like a punch to the gut. Excellent storytelling and the handling of discussing mental health was done very well in my opinion. It's a very striking visual novel, and I highly recommend giving it a go.

I had this running during my entire work from home session today, and it was an entire vibe. I used the task and timer functions and it made completing work tasks a bit more enjoyable. I know I can do all this on my phone, or using work tools but I'd much rather do it in game while collecting adorable little spirit pets and listening to lofi!

I hope the creators eventually add more spirits and sounds - the sounds are some of my favorite features, especially the typing, rain and wind! Overall, I think this is well worth the $10~ for me. :3

Anyway, can I have your wool?

The dancing scene sent me through the roof. Mo stole the show for me, but MysteryMonkey was a very close contender.

Also, was one of the contestants doing the Single Ladies' dance, or was that a fever dream?? 10/10 play this game!

I can't believe I waited so long to play this series. It's absolutely amazing. The story is gripping and the gameplay is fluid. I love the voice acting and all the cut scenes are fantastic. I'm a huge sci-fi nerd, so this is right up my alley. Thank god my husband told me to grab this during the Summer Sale!

Phasmophobia only keeps getting better. The improvements since the early days are just...wow. It's so much fun, whether you play by yourself or with friends. The ghosts are scary, the sounds and effects are great and those hunts!!! The game never feels stale either, even after so many hours.

I have 8300 hours playing this game, so saying I recommend it is putting it lightly. I picked it up right before the launch of Heavensward and I haven't looked back. The story is excellent, and only continues to get better (though Endwalker has some big shoes to fill!), and I love the game play. I've made some great friends here, and lots of memories.

Edit: I take it back.

This game is excellent so far! Some slight bumps and jitters to be expected in EA, but overall I'm loving it. The combat is great! I can't wait to continue!

Edit: play the damn game. It's the most stunning, story rich experience I've played in a long, long time! You won't regret it.

This is one of those games that you can keep coming back to, even after a long absence, and still thoroughly enjoy. Highly recommended. I can't wait for the Ultra Deluxe to come out.
