-Excellent performance and default settings
-Guns have great attention to detail
-HUD is well-designed and responsive
-Maps are good; there is variety
-Mantling is an excellent addition to movement and is a good counter to twitchy players
-Steam messaging integration through Whispers is a neat addition

-Menu UI looks good but is hard to navigate; doesn't feel like it belongs in a game
-Gunfire sounds punchy but lacks variety
-Gun balance is good but with next to no variety; everything feels the same
-Level-up jingle is good but the rest of the music is forgettable and repetitive
-New perk system is a novel concept but ends up feeling boring
-Gunsmith is as good as ever but next to no additions
-Unlocks are spoonfed at an optimal rate but weapon progression is confusing and feels tacky
-Viewmodel FoV customisation is okay but lacking (XYZ offsets. anyone?)

-No red dots on the minimap, why?
-No advanced HUD customisation/placement editing
-Operator selection is okay but could've been so much more (Advanced Warfare's player customisation rings a bell)
-No Emblem Maker and Paintjobs
-No option to outright turn off screenshake and crosshair movement (would be a good accessibility setting, just saying)
-No easy party-up options or post-lobby implementation
-Extremely strict SBMM and egregious engagement-optimised matchmaking practices (CoD had MM since CoD4, sure, but it was never as overtuned or predatory as it is now)
-70$ (with bad regional pricing) for a game with a rotating store AND mostly-paid, time-limited battle pass
-Invasion/Ground War are mediocre playlists: no actual PvE/traditional large team gamemodes

I would've given this game a positive review but Infinity Ward are notorious for being stuck up their bums when it comes to changing aspects of their games so no siree.
Overall, the game is fun when playing with friends but with how bad the SBMM is I would not recommend it if you're looking to mainly solo queue.

While suboptimal compared to just getting the classics standalone, BFG Edition can be alright with the use of RBDoom3 or Doom BFA. It's nothing more than a novelty now, and a 10 year-old one at that.
