This game is very beautiful and the premise is really appealing, but the execution is just not very good. The controls are pretty clunky and honestly, with how much love was put into the graphics and the soundtrack, seem like an afterthought. As other people have pointed out, it's easy to get lost, and there's a ton of really frustrating parts. Most notably - in Chapter 5, during a water rising cutscene, my fox got teleported below the water level and couldn't get above it, after 10 minutes of trying to fix that I had to restart from checkpoint. You can also cheese the 8-second airborne achievement by getting squished by a boulder, which gets you out of bounds and causes a memory leak :P

Bottom line - it's really close to being awesome with those breathtaking landscapes, but the sloppy physics and poor attention to detail just suck the fun out of playing it. If all you care about is running around as a fox and barking at stuff - it's probably an alright game, even though you could accomplish the same in GMod. But if you actually want to explore the world and reach the end goal, y'know, beat the game - it's a bit frustrating and I can't recommend it. I wish the creators set higher standards for the gameplay and checked whether it's fun to play or not.

on your first playthrough this is a good game
on your second playthrough it's an average game
on your third playthrough you get bored on the first mission

mods can fix it, and modding is pretty fun when it isn't torture, but as a vanilla game this doesn't measure up much.

very good. one of (if not) the best programs for pixel art i have seen. overall 10/10, worth the money.
