This game is a masterpiece. Not in terms of gameplay, but in terms of the story. During my 6 hours of playtime I built such a strong relationship to the characters. I genuinely cried at the end.

The game is technically great. Don't get me wrong here. I like the game itself a lot. But holy did they mess up every game mechanic that's supposed to make it fun. The AI of flying enemies is so annoying that I mostly skip them to begin with. Bosses are technically fine, although pretty long for what they have to offer. But then there's the worst stuff in the game: Multiwave gauntlet with like 7 waves before you can even play the boss, that is also 5 quadrillion miles away from any bench and theres water on the floor that disables your ability to heal??? Or, talking about actually required fights, if you want an essential thing in the citadel, you have to play through a stupidly long and difficult gauntlet of more than 10 waves. This. Is. Just. Bad. Game. Design!
I want to love this game but it just sucks...
And in comparison to Hollow Knight, where they had a great gameflow and map design, this game has confusing maps in most places, it has far too few benches, the enemies are too difficult and do double damage like half of the time which doesn't work when health is so limited.
I want to but I just cant recommend this game to anyone in the current state. Please add a mode that is way easier for normal humans to enjoy, and not just a mode only chronically online people can beat.

In my opinion, the game is absolutely worth it :)

I played for the last 10 hours with almost no breaks.
I'm 200% addicted to this game and can only recommend it to anyone!
The game takes you on an emotional roller coaster through a really well-crafted story, while providing stunning visuals and audio. It is one of the best games I've ever played, even though it has it's little quirks ^^

Edit: After many more hours I still believe this is sooooo worth buying
