Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has recorded this profound statement of Yahya ibn Mu’adh (rahimahullah).

الدنيا لا قدر لها عند ربها وهي له فما ينبغي أن يكون قدرها عندك وليست لك

Yahya ibn Mu’adh (rahimahullah) said: The world has no value in the sight of its Lord, yet it belongs to Him. So it is inappropriate to value it while it is not yours.”
