Euro Truck Simulator 2 is like the name is telling you a truck driving simulator.

You start off as a greenhorn without your own truck but a little garage. This is mostly it about a "story" but what should be a story in a simulator, right?

Anyways, not to tell you much about the gameplay, since you need to feel it:
The simulator itself is ONLY a singleplayer game BUT with an alpha released community project running since years just fine there is also a very good and a lot used way to play ETS2 in a multiplayer.

The cities are build nicely, the compromis between realism and simulation to not get too deep into the real length of a route or the law and so on are well made (beside that I miss a bit more realistics in the fatigue simulation or the use of the european law of how to drive your truck but fairely the most players would probably be not able to see through them - beside a lot of truckers play that game and say they won't have the stress of their work in a game why I ask myself: Why playing a truck simulator then if you don't want to have the same in a game like at your work? Alright... ).

Also there is always stuff going on from the dev side. Progress is written and also shown in news from time to time. It is not like an update every week but for an update the progress was tested before and is not only a minor update at the end.

The community behind the game is big and a lot of people want to chill out in their trucks.
