Thank you for having a friend pass version of the game for people who want to play but don’t have the money to pay for it!

Was able to spend an evening with a streamer and co. and it made my week. Will drop money on this game whenever I get a job again!

Game's absolutely the best in the series so far!

I hear people complain about the game being short after skipping all the cutscenes... well duh, the story in this game makes up the better part of the Low Rank. Skipping it will end up with the first story done in, like, 4 hours. I watched all the cutscenes, took my time hunting / gathering; my time to finish the first story was about 17 hours (I'm a seasoned veteran that's been playing since 2009, so hunts at most last me 10 minutes solo).

I hear people complain about the graphics optimization... I'm running this game on 1440p, HDR, FSR Performance Upscaling, Everything on High at a consistent 45 FPS; I'm on a $150 CPU and a $350 GPU. To me that's respectable for a game that's going to be going on for about 4-5 more years (if MH:World is any proof of their release cycle).

If you're a proper Monster Hunter fan... you already bought this game, if you're a person curious about Monster Hunter this is the best entry to start with, if you tried World / Rise and didn't like the gameplay loop then avoid (ultimately it's still Monster Hunter).

To everyone who gets the game, enjoy the Wilds and happy hunting!

Early Access Review
Can be a bit fiddly on the Steam Deck to play. Best played in Desktop Mode on Experimental Proton compatibility. Putting everything to low provides a constant 60 frames (so far).
Game's fun to play with others, and I haven't had any issues with connectivity / latency.
Would highly recommend this game if you played Half Life 1 growing up. I'm not normally a survival crafter fan, but even I fell in love with the charm from this game.

Just... don't mind the screams at night, that's just Bob and Janice from accounting getting his kneecaps gnawed on.

This game about democracy is letting the peoples’ voices be heard through its reviews.

The gameplay itself is fun, but the change to mandatory linkage of a Sony account is unacceptable.

Sony’s history with data leaks and patchwork security is one of many reasons I will not be linking ANYTHING to Sony’s network.

Let our democracy be heard for the betterment of Super Earth, else let’s hang up out capes for a better cause.

The game's pretty fun!

I had a handful of issues throughout the game, but the concept is solid!
The game handles a bit clunky at times, but the chain "flow" actions were really satisfying.
As a person whose played a fair amount of Mirror's Edge (just shy of 30 on Steam, another 30 on Xbox 360), I can definitely see the inspiration and I'm here for it!

For a dollar this game's a steal of a deal and it's got great potential. Will definitely be following the devs!

The only feedback I would give is this:
- Add player sounds to allow for audio feedback on actions
- Change object vaulting object detection from being edge-based to point-based or direction-based. I had issues getting some objects, especially if approached from a corner. Ended up snapping (teleporting) to an edge and vaulted into a spot between the crate and a wall
- Had a moment where I messed up a slide and had to run back a bit to get momentum to try again. Would've loved a crouch function

Proof that shouting at crabs and hoarding 100 pounds of cheese are both viable strategies to overcome life’s hurdles.

This game has moved its way into my top 10 favorite games of all time.

The Pros:
— Generally open-ended Metroidvania. Only one or two areas are mandatory for one of the endings.
— The music is AMAZING. It breathes life into the game in a way I have not seen in a long time.
— The visuals and attention to detail is superb. Area designs are distinct enough you can tell each one apart easily
— The writing for this game is surprisingly deep. It legitimately surprised me how in-depth it is

Cons:
— Combat’s a little clunky. Just like Dark Souls you can work your way into it and it feels satisfying at the end of it all, but certain mechanics weren’t worth mastering.

— Stilted setup for 100% completion. Around the 98% complete mark there were certain jumping puzzles where it felt necessary to utilize extra mobility from particular spirits. If you were to miss them for a most of the game it would leave the player confused for many hours.

— Difficulty plateaus too quickly. I beat all of the content in the game aside from the ‘Level 100’ achievement by level 90. The last 10 levels were a grind-fest and if not for the achievement I would of stopped playing before hitting it.

Overall the game was an amazing play. I was able to approach the game my own way and even did a few areas to completion in different ways than would normally approached.

The game rewards keen eyes and good location-based memory. Remembering trends of the environment can lead to genuine ‘aha!’ moments after unlocking certain abilities and back-tracking to see if it works.

Even with its faults, this game is an absolute masterpiece and its music will forever live on my cell phone!

Do not play this game if you are red-green colorblind. Rode around for a long while at 98% looking for the remaining bits unable to see a difference. Got frustrated and quit.

As far as I can tell, can't find a highlight ability like in Powerwash Sim that helps me see incomplete bits.

Would recommend to people who aren't visually impaired
