This game really stuck with me the more I played it. Knowing nothing about it beforehand, I picked it up and expected a simple rpg with some detective work thrown in for a good ride. What I got was an amazing journey through this very unique world while learning a bit more about myself in the process. I have recommended it to a lot of my friends and urge anyone reading this to give it a shot.

I continue to think back to this game from time to time and contemplate the choices I've made in my own life as well as the choices I can make right now to see change where I really want it. Very well made game.

A nice return to form for the Assassin's Creed series. Extremely immersive world with the environment of ancient Egypt really standing out everywhere you look. Attention to detail is very good this year as well (For instance there is a lot of debris floating around in the water and sometimes if there is an oil pot you can break it and then shoot a fire arrow at it to set the surface on fire so passing boats might catch)

Characters are pretty cool. You kinda go from vengeance to justice and witness the beginnings of the order. I've skipped a few cutscenese lately only because they tend to drag in my opinion (Something I never do) and I know that I will likely never see half those characters again because there are so many quests available.

Not as much verticle (rooftop to rooftop) playground this time around but there is enough there to satisfy anyone coming from Brotherhood or Syndicate. Almost every enemy encounter has some type of highground/lowground mechanic so you can still stalk the sky or choose to use the plethora of brush cover to sneak right past guards for a clean and silent kill on your target.

Overall the game lets you feel like a true desert warrior and wanderer as you traverse the unforgiving landscape, fighting marauders and deadly animals alike (And you can tame said beasts) in many different locales including desert basins, marshlands, rocky mountains, endless dunes, and the modern settings of Alexandria (The Library of Alexandria as well!)

So far so good!

Great addition to the franchise. Haven't finished it yet but I absolutely love the world of Deus Ex and some of the themes and issues that it presents. I'm using a stealth build my first time through and the new aug powers really add depth to the game as well as balancing different styles so you can really shine whichever route you go.

Maps are well varied and have lots of different paths. First person to third person cover shooter is seamless and does it well. I can't wait to finish the game and give my impressions of the full experience. So far I am still playing soft-hearted Adam Jensen, the people's Aug.

Edit: Noticed a lot of people complaining about some pre-order bonus stuff? I haven't even touched the extra stuff you get and I don't really see any reason to except if I were to do a fun-run guns blazing. It's a single-player game...you control the entire game, how it progresses, what you use, what you ignore, what you upgrade. I don't see how some free stuff at the beginning of the game ruins your experience. People are so quick to jump on hate bandwagons these days.

Please review the gameplay, story, sound, FX, voice acting, and cinematics. Why are you reviewing the amount of DLC in the game? I honestly pre-ordered it a day before release simply for the Adam Jensen announcer pack for Dota 2 lol.

Terrific voice acting, tremendous narration, and that pop-synth soundtrack synonomous with todays fast paced indie game scene!

None of that is in this rollercoaster of a game. It isn't the greatest game ever, it isn't a masterpeice, but it is an extremely good game that I loved every minute of and you will too.

Actually a good game. The 2D aspect really works in the games favor by letting you watch your party act and react instead of being them. The game is much like any rogue-like once you get to the bare bones but the supporting characters and backstory propel it so much further. Replayability is another huge aspect of the game as you can start new games with a different set of survivors every time and utilize their unique skills to survive the longest.

I developed an attachment to a rather rough and tough, combat trained punk kid who could play the guitar like nobody's business. Unkowingly I walked into an ambush and tried to fight my way out using what little ammo I had for my shotgun. After taking out 4 armed men I was finally brought down after saving the girls from the brothel, dying a hero. I went through the 5 stages of grief and planned my attack, counting the minutes until it was dark enough to race back there. I sent in another survivor to avenge his death and wiped the place clean. I felt really good after that but it didn't fill the void in my heart...

New Game...

A review can't really do this game justice. Just trust that it is worth the buy. Easily one of the most enjoyable games I've played recently and I only wish it were longer. Would recommend to anyone looking for something offbeat from regular games.
