For an early access VR game, it has a LOT of potential. So here's a few reasons why it gets the thumbs up from me:
PROS:
- Friendly community (Yes it's smaller, but the more you play the more people you'll actually see an recognize).
- Consistent updates (Discord says once a month but currently since playing it's been weekly/bi-weekly at longest).
- Active and receptive devs (Lets players test new content and actively tweaks, plus will regularly host in game events).
- New classes and bosses (with loot) are added regularly and keeps gameplay fresh.
- Framework to allow custom content (Avatars/Worlds)
- Leveling up classes and obtaining gear makes you feel the rewards for the grind.

CONS:
- The grind for some of the class skills is a haul.
- Combat not quite as silky smooth as some other VR games (Should be expected when you combine MMO scale with VR hardware limitations).

Awesome game if you like massive scale combat, air combat, armored ground combat, and FPS games.

Upvoting to counter act the negative votes of people who haven't played the game yet. They are only voting negative because the game is currently under maintenance at launch (because no game has EVER experienced issues during launch. /sarcasm)

That being said, I loved the mobile version and am excited to see how the PC port operates. Will update (or not change) this review once I've gotten into game with hands on.

So, as short and sweetly as I can put it: This game is what No Man's Sky should have been (and it's only in alpha).

Edit: The main issue I have with the game right now is trying to be able to play private matches with friends. Also on public servers there is a 400 utility limit (storage containers, lights, turrets, etc.) which makes joining a public one more difficult. Single player is still a really nice experience with what I've played so far. With it being Early Access, hopefully these issues will be resolved.

Edit2: Since the last edit, they've fixed the issues with private servers and you can now play with your friends!

This game is a ton of fun, nothing is better than using play doh figures to headbutt, punch, and throw your friends around like ragdolls. I have had a few game crashes here and there, but these kind of things happen in beta.

This is a game I've been playing consistently for over a year now. The development team communicates with the community extremely well and they do massive updates every 2-3 months. The gameplay is solid, it looks great, and is a great co-op game to play through.

This is one of my top favorite games of all time. The dialogue is priceless and on par with what to expect from a game set to the style of a B rating grindhouse film.
