ok in all seriousness!
i like this game, it is good!

a few basic points:
*if you dislike repetitive gameplay loops, you may not enjoy this game. while it is most definitely a tried and true multifocal game (that is, the game's focus is centralized about both the gameplay and the narrative), and the gameplay aspects/mechanisms themselves definitely contribute to the overall game, there is some disjoint between its two modes - AKA, i was fiending so badly for more character interactions that the gameplay fell by the wayside. instead of actively contributing to the narrative scenes directly, they instead felt like more of a barrier to entry to a fascinating story and characters than anything else and despite being cool, became secondary.

story great but can feel untraceable sometimes because of how short the scenes themselves are. the kernels are there and i followed, i think, but there are some vague points and up-in-the-airs that really inhibited my overall understanding of the authorial intent. what does the dev want me to feel about [*****]? about the interactions? what outlook should i take?

so, devs, if you see this, you did a really good job of acknowledging the potentiality for ralph's unreliable narrative capacity and utilizing that to subvert our expectations for the outcomes, or at least mine! that left me guessing for a while as to whether or not zimforth was real, or if ralph was just crazy and somewhere on the schizoid disorder spectrum.

however, and this pisses me off and maybe i'm just stupid and formulating my own nagging inquisitiveness into an entire confirmation-bias amalgam that has taken over my brain like poison weaving or whatever that line was, but... if ralph isn't crazy- that is to say, if zimforth is real, or some life-threatening correlation exists between ralph's abstinence from watering the flower and the end of the world, then WHY would ralph kidnap johnny?

maybe i have the timeline confused and i'll replay to check, but i'm not so sure as to why an otherwise normal and very preoccupied man (ralph) would kidnap a boy because he can "see him", when his only other motive for doing so would be because daddy said and he has shown no other inclinations for kidnapping or murder in between his (presumably yearly, based on dialogue) outings. please please please send me a dm this is rotting in my head. i KNOW we want to discredit ralph and make him unsympathizable, but randomly kidnapping someone.. grr.. character inconsistency.
