Cyberpunk 2077 has become an absolute masterpiece of a game since it's buggy launch. The depth and detail of Night City are unparalleled, making it incredibly immersive to explore. Seriously never fast travel. The visual fidelity is incredible and i'm sure this game will continue to push the boundries of graphics cards for years to come. The RPG systems are robust and engaging from cyber-hacking techno-magic to slow-motion katana stealth. Honestly sometimes I just go shopping and spend some with the games robust fashion choices. However, the keyboard controls as default are very clunky, so i would reccomend remapping them. Also, just the general setting of hyper-violent, hyper-sexualized dystopia can be quite overwhelming and pretty depressing. Even with Cyberpunks few flaws, it's seriously a must-play for anyone who was excited at launch but ultimatley decided against it because of the poor reviews it recieved. It seems the devs have completely revamped and added several major game systems. The story arc from act 1 to act 2 an unforgettable journey that demands to be experienced.

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from everything else and watch the seasons change in your own personal medieval hamlet. Chop down some trees. Sow some rye fields. Avoid wolves. Build a kitchen. Hunt some deer. I find this game quite relaxing. The developers have continued to add content since launch and the game keeps getting better. If you want something slow paced with low stakes then I strongly recommend this game.

While I did briefly enjoy the creative freedom in spaceship design thanks to Avorion's dynamicaly scaleable building block system. However everything else about the game made me nostalgic for EVE Online; but in a bad way. Avorion felt empty and soul-less, but strangely also felt bland and cute in a kind of low-pixel voxel way. This game is probably fun and worth a deep dive with a group of friends playing online together. But personally I see myself much more likely to return to EVE Online than to ever play Avorion again.

Once upon a time I launched some little green frog men into space. I over engineered some rockets and spacecrafts. I landed on some moons. I made an orbital science station and spent an afternoon trying to launch and rendezvous and dock a refueling ship with it. I never studied physics or anything. But wow this game sure is fun!

Elden Ring is difficult, rewarding, vast. Spend your souls, dont hoard them. Block with a shield until you learn how to dodge. Try pyromancy. But you don't have to take my word for it.

"I don't want to set the world on fire." I just want to build all of the settlements in the wasteland. This game has aged relatively well. The base-building is clunky. The game has bugs. The art direction, story, music, characters all hold up quite well. The core RPG gameplay of growth and achievement is very enjoyable. Personally I love the survival mode and the extra verisimilitude it adds. Now after 220 hours and there's so much content that I've barely scratched the surface of the main quest. I fondly look forward to the day I return to this game and follow through all the quests to completion.

Star Wars Empire At War is a real time strategy game. Star Wars Empire At War is set in the Star Wars galaxy. That's two thumbs up in my book.

I love this game. It's masterpiece of theme and verisimilitude in a unique text-based drone-controller space-horror rogue-like. Buy it. Play it. Enjoy it. It's a nice relatively simple palate cleanser to be played here and there. Strongly recommended.

This game is fine. But most other industrial simulation games are better.

Wake up naked on a beach with a rock. Die. Die again. Die some more. Spend a week building a nice house with a garden on a snowy hilltop only to have it blown up and lose it all. Repeat. Risk everything all the time. High adrenaline combat. Toxic impossibly difficult for a solo player. Could be fun with a squad of friends sometime. But honestly these days I'd recommend going for a walk outside instead.
