That Which Gave Chase is absolutely terrifying. It leaves you wondering: "What is coming? When is it coming? Is it even coming anyway?". Little by little, it feeds you answers, it quenches your thirst with little drops of water, that is, until the moment where it empties the bucket on you.
Mainstream media has had us, for a long time, thinking there is only one way to tell a story. There isn't. That Which Gave Us Chase is a beautiful reminder of that. Mind that the game doesn't do anything especially novel storytelling-wise, but, what it does, it does exceptionally.
Artistically, it has all that I appreciate: a very well thought color pallete; minimalist, carefully made ambients and a desperating sound design.
Every single thing, has had thought given to it. That is a feat only achievable when you love what you are doing it, have it in high regards and, most noteworthy these days, when your game is short, when you put in it only what is absolutely necessary.

More than anything, this a love letter to devs like Asrak. Thank you for giving it your all.
