its fun but more unstable than 2042, beta crashes every match and just now it literally shut down my pc

You can throw car doors at enemies, drive through an abandoned Detroit in 2060 at night, fight North Korea in the very first mission and kill Kevin Spacey

BUT

the game is very stuttery and requires you to turn on v-sync and don't alt-tab often, (audio will break) you have to manually go into the config and change some stuff for it to run normally.

In the end it delivers 👍

Works fine on windows 11 with a 3080ti and a Ryzen 9 3900X, very optimized

As I've amounted over 1k hours since launch, I can now finally say that this game is pure ♥♥♥♥.
I'm still gonna play it because even though it's ♥♥♥♥, it's still fun sometimes, and it's the most recent BF, but now that they have thrown in the towel, and basically are about to leave this game behind like they did with BFV for another 2 years, it's finally time to acknowledge this piece of ♥♥♥♥ wreck.

*First of all, they screwed up the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SCRIPT. How the ♥♥♥♥ can you ♥♥♥♥ up the atmosphere of the game so bad? On launch, the maps felt like like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ open fields. The buildings in the game were empty, there was no environmental storytelling like they promised.
The trailers massively promoted scenarios that weren't in the game. There is no war anywhere in the world in-game other than the restricted space ur playing on. Fking muppet warfare, everyone looks the same on both teams, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

In came first rework of Kaleidoscope, and the map is still ♥♥♥♥. And even though the game was marketed as LIVE SERVICE, all they could ever do is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ add 1 map per season (3 months of waiting) and max 3 guns. This game is so bad they had to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spend more than HALF of the development cycle fixing their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Frostbyte Engine so that the game could work.

On the visual side it looks worse than BFV. ♥♥♥♥ me. There is no leaning, u cant lean out from behind cover, instead u have to either stand up or spam stand crouch. No proning on your back like in BFV. Removed squad point system so you couldn't call in nukes on the enemy team... They added stupid Tactical Sprint from COD that doesn't even ever run out, making the default sprinting useless, unless you want to make like 1% less sound even though flanking in this game most of the time is impossible due to the loud footsteps you make that can be heard from like 30 meters as if this is Tarkov.(this is rather a community opinion )

Game gets stale really quick, it's just brainless run and gun to the point it starts rotting your brain, helicopters are most op they've ever been while planes suck unless ur willing to spend 300 hours trying to master them (there are only 2 variants), and most of that time you will be sitting on the deploy screen spamming the jet spawn icon, competing with 3 other dudes. Applies to other vehicles too.

There is also nothing to grind for apart from the battlepass, once that's done. Put the game back on the shelf, because the content is minimal, if ur a veteran. For new players there's more to do ofc.

The list goes on. There is just too much to cover. It's just barely Battlefield innit, or rather a barebones version. Makes sense though, not enough dev time = ♥♥♥♥ game. I. If they ♥♥♥♥ up the next game I hope EA goes bankrupt. GG

I will say it is worth the 9.99 price though. But not more than that. I bought if for 80 at launch, bless me.

*I will shed some light though, even so that this review is mostly hateful, there are some good aspects too, it's a see for yourself. They have vastly improved the game since launch, and even i'll still be playing it*

I think the craziest thing about this game is how fast time goes by - in the real world, and in the game doing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing because after major updates it was always a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2 month drought, just like a dead sea.

EA Launcher can suck my coc, makes the game not launch sometimes through steam.
end every EA task in task manager and maybe it'll launch.
