If you like Wizardry and Cats, this is honestly pretty great! Nails the vibe of the former while not being cruel to kitties. (Sulk instead of Death, Ignoring You instead of Eradication was INSPIRED!)
Has a bit of annoyances with the UI, but overall for the price point, the sheer silliness and joy made it feel great-- solid entry point for Wizardrylikes.

Overall, it's a damned fine remake, feels fun throughout, with only one exception whatsoever detracting from it in my experience.

Why the hell would you give a new, plot-required boss so many resistances and HP... and the ability to summon more copies without limit?!

Other than that, the new content was extremely enjoyable for the main plotline, the balancing felt pretty good even if the early part was fairly easy. Better a game start off 'too easy' and allow the player to choose from all the options available for a party, than to be BS-Hard and require you disregard all but the top tier.

Fun game, but seriously needs some QoL updates.

This is an MMO in the year 2021 which does not allow you to give items to your friends. You have to sell it to them, with the shop enforcing minimum meseta prices that it does not inform you of until the item is listed. And people run bots to snag items that are cheap.

Really infuriating to lose a nice cash-gacha cosmetic piece because you dared to try and give it to a friend.

Other than the infuriating lack of direct trading in any capacity, the game is very solid in gameplay, and fighting is really fun! The main flaw is that the content is really short so far. Extremely solid character creation if you love editing tons of details on your char.

Damned fine game. Choices actually mattering instead of it just slightly changing the ending was fantastic.

Focus on Pistols though, makes things a lot easier down the line.

This game has a fair bit of promise to it. The plot is sadly barebones/nonexistant as of this time and you're unceremoniously dropped into the action; great if you want to just jump into the action, less great if you want to know why you're a dragon kid going around shooting everything up.

The gunplay feels really solid. The base gun isn't bad, though one-shot-per-button-press is pretty annoying. If it would slowly autofire (with the Ultra Combo system letting it go into hyperdrive) with the option to button mash for hairy situations, that'd be much more enjoyable to me. Other guns feel really satisfying (especially the shoulder-mounted Laser gun which makes your char grin in glee when wielding.)

Boss fights are definitely pretty enjoyable, good rhythm between dodging bullets, dealing with mooks, and trying to find moments to unleash hot lead into them.

Music is also pretty good and solid overall if you like chiptunes.

Overall I'd say if you love Contra run-and-gun action, pick this up.

EDIT: The autofire addition was patched in, as was being able to swap away from the big guns to save ammo. Always awesome seeing devs listen to reviews!

This game is so adorable, amusing, and uplifting that I hear the FDA is looking into prescribing this to those who suffer from depression.

If you still can't smile after playing this game, that's just a cat-astrophe.

An extremely fun, though challenging metroidvania game. If you don't mind instant death spikes in your Castlevania, and healing only at savepoints, pick this game up. Fantastic music throughout, great boss fights.

Thanks to this game, I now feel confident that I can speak with people in Alabama without missing a beat!

This game honestly failed to grip me in any fashion. No HP regen along with hitboxes being wonky as hell on enemies means most of the time you're stuck either dying, spending a lot of materials to heal up, or finding a bed and sleeping in for a LONG TIME doing nothing to finally heal up.

When I play a game, I want to have fun, not be stuck waiting around to heal up after any fight, then have to take forever plodding back to where I had gotten to before, since you can't select new spawn-in locations for worlds at this time.

Maybe it will be better in a few updates time, but when I am told by friends it gets better once I reach endgame, that is not a slog I am willing to go through. Give me fun from start to finish, not a slog for 10 hours before fun starts.

This game's pretty solid overall. I figured my onboard videocard (Intel HD 4600) was going to have problems playing this, but I figured, hell, already downloaded, I'll kill five minutes trying to test it. Runs like a damn champ without slowdown.

The gameplay is great, only complaint is some QTEs, but they're not crazy prevalent. Other than that, controls are quite solid and easy to grasp.

Plot: It's a Metal Gear game, you can sum it up as "International Conspiracy involving Nanomachines Somehow".
