This game's pretty solid overall. I figured my onboard videocard (Intel HD 4600) was going to have problems playing this, but I figured, hell, already downloaded, I'll kill five minutes trying to test it. Runs like a damn champ without slowdown.

The gameplay is great, only complaint is some QTEs, but they're not crazy prevalent. Other than that, controls are quite solid and easy to grasp.

Plot: It's a Metal Gear game, you can sum it up as "International Conspiracy involving Nanomachines Somehow".

Cardboard Box: Yes.

Mariachi Hat: Also yes.

At first I figured this would just be a bleh Mario Kart Clone, but after playing it for the last few days with friends, I've honestly come to the decision that it is arguably better than Mario Kart.
Mario Kart loves to give the lower-placed players better items to 'equalize', including that oft-despised Blue Shell. In this, the "Blue Shell" analogue is a swarm of bees. The bees however do NOT guaranteed knock up the first place person. They can dodge it if they pay attention/slow down, making it be less of a guaranteed "HAHA GO TO SECOND PLACE" This single change on its own is a great improvement over Mario Kart.
The stages are just about at the right length to be fun, not long enough to drag on (I've yet to run into any Rainbow Road race that takes 20+ minutes and is just soul-crushingly bland once the prettiness factor wears off). Changing vehicles definitely makes it fun as they all handle differently. For folks who don't care about weapon powerups, there is Boost Mode, where all powerups are just boosts. No shooting other players, just rely on your own skill.
The racers seem to be decently different, but there are ways to modify them after playing as them long enough to shift their stats a bit, so if someone takes your precious Sonic, you can take another character and mod their vehicle up to have equivalent stats to Sonic's, given enough time with that char.
Overall, if you grew up with a Sega and love arcade-style racing games, give this a try.

Very lacking overall. The aesthetics are not bad, per say, but the game suffers from lack of keyboard movement and the WORST PATHFINDING imaginable. You get stuck when trying to cross a bridge because of minute gaps in the wood.

Pass this one up.

Extremely fun game, very well worth the price. Challenging but still pretty simple to get the hang of once you get going.

This game sadly is not worth the current 50 dollar price tag. The game's tutorial requires one to actively check the Control Options screen in order to see what the controls are instead of using a simple "Press <ACTUAL KEY> to do action!". Instead it appears as "PRESS THE RIGHT SHOULDER WEAPON KEY TO LOCK ON WITH MISSILES."

The game, while it has its moments in fun difficulty (Big firefights with lots of Wanzers (Bigass mecha) are onscreen duking it out), the boss fights are little more than tedium of tinking at the boss while staying around the health pack pickups. Not once does a boss fight feel anything more than slow. The storyline isn't bad, but neither is it really good. I can't say much about the multiplayer, as every time I've tried joining a match, there was nobody active in it.

Overall, if the price drops below 20 bucks, it's a solid purchase at that price, but otherwise, ignore it.
