Poorly made game that requires you to follow online guides to finish. There is no map and you easily get lost and don't know where to go. It starts out well but degenerates into a "where do I go next" game that makes no sense unless you consult online guides. This is poor game design, the player shouldn't need to consult guides to finish the main story of a game.

A boring and mediocre game (I played on balanced difficulty and stopped in Act 2 after 33 hours). The story is interesting in Act 1 but becomes almost impossible to understand in Act 2. The combat is not fun at all. Low odds to hit mean that you miss your attacks half the time. The game almost always pits you against hordes of enemies that are difficult to take down unless you over-level yourself in which case it is a cake walk. Also, due to the random nature of combat, get used to save scumming.

The only positive for the game is the dialogue and the graphical detail of the dialogue scenes but these positives cannot overcome the bad combat mechanics.

A disappointing game, do not buy.

Super boring game...very slow to build an army to attack and very easy to turtle. Games take forever to finish. Walls, keeps and towers make the game a total chore. If you like turtling and hiding behind your walls, then this is your game, otherwise just don't buy it.

Gameplay is shallow, graphics are boring, most of the skills you learn are like useless degrees that give you student debt. Even worse, the map is deliberately confusing and it is difficult to figure out where to go next to advance the story. All the environments are made of concrete or metal which makes the game look boring and samey. All the enemies are red and black (again boring). As for the skills, there is no need for shield or levitate or seize in this game, developers force you to use levitate to reach tall areas of the map but that's it. You only need 2 skills for combat (shoot and launch).

The user interface of the game looks like it was designed by a child playing with MS Paint.

Conclusion: Play Company of Heroes 2.
Reasons:
#1 - Terrible enemy campaign AI in Rusviet mission that allows your units to get free shots at the enemy, they just don't move...how this issue exists is beyond my understanding. Not allowed to post the video anymore because it is "spam" and the developers will ban me.
#2 - Game crashes randomly with Fatal Error.
#3 - Developers begging me to leave a positive review with a notice in the game.
#4 - Why is this game so inferior to the competition (outclassed by Company of Heroes 2 which was released in 2013...Coh2 has better cover mechanics, better graphics, better pacing and the interface and gameplay is not clunky.)

Every once in a while the game crashes and you lose hours of progress. It crashes with an infinite loading screen randomly when you fast travel. Also, you cannot save without getting to a bed unless you buy things that allow you to save. Horrible game design, give us unlimited saves if you are going to allow the game to exist with this bug.

I'm a newcomer to the Darksiders franchise and I tried to see if I would like this game.

My conclusion: Dark Souls + Darksiders + Mediocre Graphics does not mix well.

I played the game for a limited time because I want to refund it. It is simply not worth it for someone who wants to get into the Darksiders franchise. If you already love the franchise, then maybe your opinion is different.

Here are my reasons for not liking this game:

#1 - Combat is boring because there is less of it, it plays like dark souls, and way too much platforming and swinging from the environment. Too much parkour as well. None of the atmosphere of dark souls is here but the combat feels a bit like it. This creates a confusing impression of the game.
#2 - The graphics are mediocre. This seems like a low budget game that was sold at an almost full budget price.
#3 - Cheesy cut scenes that are supposedly in-game but for some reason play at 30fps while the game plays at 60fps. This is visually jarring. Again, if you are going to put in-game cut-scenes, make them totally in game cut-scenes with the same frame rate.

The gold standard for shootemups on the PC

One of the few shmups that has great graphics. Very entertaining game with RPG lite mechanics that keeps me coming back for more. Gameplay is addictive with many different objectives to accomplish and many difficulty levels. Normal difficulty is suitable for novices and nightmare difficulty is suitable for pros. Boss fights are entertaining and well thought out. If you are looking to get all the achievements, be warned that this game is difficult on the higher levels and there is a lot of grinding for resources. Global leaderboards, friend leaderboards and weekly tournament leaderboards keep me coming back trying to increase my score.

Thumbs up for Sky Force Reloaded!

UPDATE after 30 hours of gameplay:
Game is still great after about 30 hours of play but be warned that if you try to move up the leaderboards, you will have to play co-op in order to get high scores. You don't have to play with a buddy, but you still have to control 2 planes to hit higher and higher scores. Nightmare levels are pretty much undoable with only 1 plane. The leaderboards don't distinguish between 1 or 2 player scores so everyone who wants to push for the leaderboards has to use 2 planes for extra damage.

I have played the game only for about 3 to 4 hours. I bought the Collector's Edition for $7.99 on the winter 2013 steam sale and it is definitely worth it. I downloaded the High Rez pack and the game definitely does the PC justice. Since GTA V is not available on PC, this is definitely a worthy substitute to GTA IV. Also, at $8 for the game and all the DLC, it is an absolute steal. I'm having a blast. I like the graphics (nice and sharp), I like the action (fighting never gets old), I like the way the cars drive. The story is average, but it is an action game, and it delivers loads of action. I have no problem playing the game with keyboard and mouse, I have a controller but I don't bother, I like the precision of keyboard+mouse for this game.
