I have never had so much fun playing a 2D platformer than Celeste. Overall, Celeste is an amazing game, and genuinely one of my favorites (up there with DELTARUNE, ULTRAKILL and Beatblock, which are all very well-made games).

Story: 10/10. As of writing this, I've only just made it to the penultimate checkpoint of Chapter 9, and the story in all 9 chapters (along with the dialogue in Chapter 7's B-Side) is just amazing. No complaints.

Gameplay: 10/10. Very smooth, fluid, and a bit forgiving. I like this in games. Also, there's a cargo ship's worth of movement tech.

Music: 10/10. Masterfully crafted music, and seeing 2 Mello in the game (I only just found that out, after I had just found out about 2 Mello despite knowing of the banger that was Chapter 5's B-Side) was one hell of a pleasant surprise.

Graphics: 10/10. The artstyle is very clean outside of gameplay and the pixel art in gameplay is done so well. I love the fact that everything is aligned to the pixel grid.

Overall: 40/40. Amazing game. Absolutely worth its price, and if you have the spare money, get the game for your friends!

As for difficulty...

Ever since I heard of this game, I thought it was an interesting concept. Watched a video saying it was like Undyne, and I watched it.
I don't think I've ever wanted a game this badly in my LIFE.
I was LITERALLY BEGGING FOR BEATBLOCK TO BE GIFTED TO ME AS SOON AS IT RELEASED. That's how good this game was. I GOT MUTED BECAUSE OF HOW MUCH I WAS BEGGING.

Needless to say, this game is easily peak.

Let's talk about that description real quick.
You're not spending 2 hours on this game. Not unless you're doing a speedread.
You're spending 10 or more hours on this. Let's be real.

Now, onto the actual review!

God, this game was amazing, but I genuinely feel empty leaving the duo behind...
I've racked up HOURS of footage playing the game, and I've read out loud so much that my throat's sore and my jaw hurts. That's how you know you've made a good VN.

Characters:
The new characters, although few so far, are actually written very well! Each one has their own problems, even the ones reintroduced. Each character feels "real" in how they act, as if they were a real person, and I absolutely adore that.

10/10.

Story:
Sure, I've encountered typos here and there, but they were never abysmally bad where I felt like I was missing something. Besides, I've even posted some errors in the script (such as two very noticeable typos right when Juno and MC leave Protogen Inc.) As I said, these weren't so bad that I didn't understand something. Everything is coherent despite the typos.
I'm going to deduct an extra hundredth as a result of the descriptor of Lance's jet not matching the visuals, but it's a small nitpick so I'm not gonna let it bring down as much.

9.94/10. (0.05 deducted for typos, 0.01 deducted for the jet descriptor and visual not matching)

Art:
The art direction is really well executed, and even if the styles between the game and its cutscenes clash a bit, some of the cutscene shots made me go "WOAH." out of amazement and sheer awe at its quality. Amazing work, Zhad!!

10/10.

Overall:
This game is a MUST have if you like VNs. If you need some context (you will need context) play the first two games. They're both REALLY SMALL compared to MFP3, but they're still pretty big. In fact, developing my own game where you play as Juno instead of MC, over the course of a year, my progress barely even has me 1/4 through MFP1. (Update: 2/3 in!)

Needless to say, MFP3 is a massive game and is worth the money.
Actually, no. It's not just WORTH the money. This game is actually so good I'd pay 10 dollars for it.

The goods outweigh the many bads about this game. The controversy regarding its timing can kiss my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass, this game ROCKS!

God I wish I never installed this game.
It's janky, it's CLEARLY made by a bunch of kids wanting money and it's absolutely terrible.
I could list at least 15 times more CONS than pros about this game.
Never get this game. I wish I never even bought 98XX.
