This is going to completely ruin my free time. I can't wait.

The kind of game you can play while waiting for something else to update/install. Get it on a sale. This is more a thumbs neutral but hey no option for that on Steam.

Good: Nice simple visuals and sound/music, controls are easy and its pretty bug free.

Bad: Traffic lights make everything worse, cars stop in the roundabout and only one type of road. Even with countless highways your traffic will overwhelm a point and the map will fail. Kinda hate you can only rotate house too. Just a few maps you can play over and over. At least the daily and weekly provide something new.


Things this game needs: wider roads, bridges over roads, random map generator and definitely a sandbox mode.

Overall I guess Minimetro is a bit better than this but still a chill game you can play now and then.

Update: No really, don't.

Too early for it. Needs more time and love and work.

Only zoom and rotate on mouse, no camera panning. Camera tilt angle limited for some reason. No shortcuts to control speed, and it defaults to speed 1 after unpausing. Theres two options for slower than normal, but normal speed already feels incredibly slow. The 3x in this game almost feels like normal speed.

Very few sfx, I only heard carts rolling, some animals and thats it. The music stops for some reason randomly, some tracks also get bugged and go into a loop.

Road textures just overlap each other. People just roam around on the shortest path between building so why need roads anymore. Some animations are weird or just bugged. At some point I guess they are eating but it looks like they just bend in two like a sandwhich and sit there for a while. Some of them disappear into thin air in the middle of the road, I guess they go to jobs but still. Transports will walk through a plaza but you cant build a plaza over the roads... what.

No control over staffing. Escape doesnt close windows or the selected tool, it just opens the menu which is weird. You cant switch between things. You can switch to the demolish tool when building if you have something else selected. You have to unselect that tool and then select the demolish tool.

Its almost like the people working on this havent played any other city builder in the past few years. I do hope it improves a lot because in this state is a hard pass from me.

I bought this in 2017 and put 200+ hours into it so far. Its a solid town building game that feels very much like Banished but at the same time different. At the moment it is a very playable early access with few issues.

You get all the buildings at start, no unlocking or progression. There arent tech trees or any nonsense, just pure town building. Id say the graphics are good but they can always get improved. People wear out the ground creating road networks, the snow thaws and in the autumn leaves cover the ground around the trees. And these changes also impact gameplay, with rivers freezing and farm fields being unusable. The music fits the theme nicely but the village could use more sound presence, especially when you get past a certain number of villagers.

Gameplay wise if you played Banished you dont need any tutorials. You get people, you put them to work, you build your chains of various industries, you sell and buy stuff to keep people alive. Once you set everyone up with homes and food theres a lot of room to experiment.


Overall a good game and at the moment I do feel like it is going to become a great city builder but time will tell.

Edit: a few more hours put into this, its one of my top builders since I was disappointed in Patron.

When I bought this game at 0.3 something version I didnt think I would enjoy it this much.
