The combat is very pretty (visual, auditory) and the skills 'feel' impactful. The combat itself is quite boring, shoot one (sometimes two) spells/skills and the pack of mobs dies before you get close. Or you can just walk around the mobs, it doesn't matter much in the end. The tutorials and story are very controlling during the first few hours, I wasn't a fan of that.

I've never felt the sweet embrace of another man's love, but this game is great anyway!

Desync is a bit annoying, but you learn to live with it. There is absolutely no pay-to-win, which is great.

This is an amazing game that is quite unique. The mounted combat is great; I have played no other game which has actual good mounted combat where you aim your attacks and figuratively feel the attacks connecting against enemies. It's extremely satisfying being able land a couched lance blow on an enemy as you ride by them at full speed on your steed.

The replay-ability is astounding once you start using mods which can greatly alter gameplay (both meta-game and in-combat) as well as expansions or full rewrites of storylines. I end up playing this game for a week or two (straight) every few months; usually when I try out or find a new mod (or an old one updates).

If you want to strategically control your army during battle (formations, flanking, archer volleys, etc.) or have them charge haphazardly while you sink arrows into enemy knights' faces in an uncontrolled bloodbath, then you'll likely enjoy this game.
