Disclaimer: The game performs significantly better now than it did on launch. I've heard it was awful on launch, but I'm able to get over 100 fps most of the time with max graphics settings at 1080p. 1440p is somewhat harder, but I'm normally able to get over 60 on high settings.

Rig:
i7-6700
16 GB RAM @ 2133MHz
R9 390

This game is playable on my system at 1440p60fps, but I ended up switching out to an old 1080p 144Hz monitor for this game. I will say that if you don't have Freesync or G-Sync, the game tears a lot, similar to The New Order.\

The game itself is awesome and honestly I'm enjoying it a lot more than I did The New Order, which is also an awesome game. The characters in The New Colossus are significantly more detailed, the returning cast has more personality, and the story tries to balance its extremely dark and grim aspects with humor and comradery.

It also runs on id's idTech6 engine, the same engine that DOOM 2016 runs on, and it's awesome.

It's just a great game.

I want to like this garbage fire of a game. I really do. I loved the classic CoD games and I thought WWII as a setting would be a return to form, but no.

There are already hackers. In the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beta.

No dedicated servers.

No way to tell what your ping is.

The maps are ridiculously small and there are so many blindspots that it's infuriating.

This game is ass. Please fix this because I really want another WWII multiplayer shooter.

It's a fun game with a simple and concise premise, but it probably isn't worth $40.

You've got a decent selection of Jasons to pick and and equally good selection of counselors, all with unique stats. Jason can equip different brutal kills that the player can use on players in-game.

Players rank up through a leveling system similar to Dead By Daylight (but it doesn't encourage playing the game incorrectly like in DBD). You also earn points which can be spent on different killing abilities for Jason, as well as different costumes and randomized perks for counselors.

There are curently 3 different maps (Packanack, Crystal Lake, and Higgins).

Currently, there is no region-locked matchmaking, which means you'll be matching with a lot of Russians and Asian people, who may or may not speak your language. I'm mentioning this because communication in this game is key, and having a language barrier makes this game significantly harder.

Matchmaking can also be hit-or-miss, and it's not unusual for a few players to have ping over 100 ms. This obviously leads to problems in-game.

Each map has randomly spawning items hidden around the camp, whether it be weapons, walkie-talkies, health spray, or what have you. Your objective is to escape the camp, kill Jason, or survive the duration of the match.

Jason is very, very strong and counselors are extremely weak. I realize that this makes the game pretty unfair (despite it being 7v1), but it gives a feeling similar to what the movies portrayed: Jason is an unstoppable undead nutjob who will do everything in his power to kill you and your friends.

That being said, I really hope that they add more maps and more Jason variants. This game is in a league of its own in presentation and gameplay (I know there's DBD, but it's a bit more convoluted than F13, which is much more a game of cat & mouse). All in all, I enjoy the game quite a bit but I'd really recommend buying it through G2A or Kinguin or something where you're not paying the full $40 entry price. It's really not a $40 game.

Scholar of the First Sin and Dark Souls II vanilla cost the same amount. Buy Scholar of the First Sin. It's got all the DLC and it looks prettier, plus it's got a more active playerbase and some extra goodies.

An awesome game with great gunplay. Make sure that you act like a good boy or else you'll get a fist up the bum.

8/10

Great game, except for all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crouch servers.

Why would you want to play a game like that?

Fantastic co-op game. Graphics are incredibly detailed and the voice acting is crazy good. The only thing I really don't like is the RNG, but either than that the game is awesome. Definitely worth a buy!

Contrary to popular belief, this is not a bad game. You just have to make a tweak in the .ini file and you're good to go. The game's about 7-8 hours long if you do some of the side missions and try to get some of the collectibles. All in all, a pretty decent game with a really confusing and surreal story.

Oh, and the artwork is beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome.

Early-Access-Rezension
It was fun back when people played it. Sadly, it's been in early access for over a year and nothing has changed the game substantially. And the fact that match making takes 20 minutes for a game of TDM with only two other people in the midwest really blows, too.
