This program used to work well for me, but over the past 6 months or so, it's become all but unusable. More often than not it will cause games to crash, or the Action App itself will crash. I've tried many suggested fixes I've found online (any that's still relevant anyway) and nothing seems to make a difference.

It's a good program when it works... but more often than not, it just causes more headaches than anything else.

I don't play many shooters, so I am probably not the best judge when it comes to a good shooter haha. With that being said, I had fun with this game. The grapple system makes it fun to move around and using the hoverboard to fast traversal is probably my favorite part of the movement of the game. (at least once I remembered I had it anyway)

I'm not good at shooters, so I get killed more than I kill, but if I gave this one ample time, I may become decent at it.

The downfall for me was not understanding how to pick up supply drops. That seemed to hurt my ability to survive as everyone was getting wicked gear compared to the weapon I had, and they could kill me quickly because of it. The tutorial needs to be a bit more in-depth when it comes to the game modes. I honestly had no idea what I was doing most of the time.

Over all, I'd say if you are into arena shooters, then this one may be worth picking up. Just keep in mind that it is early access, so your mileage may vary.

What can I say about The Wizard and the Slug? Well... I think it's safe to say that this is a platformer at heart. Not too difficult, but it is compelling enough to not get boring. Where this game really shines though is in its story. If you need a game that will make you laugh then I highly suggest grabbing this game.

It has that "stupid/foolish" humor that kind of reminds me of the comedy movies of the '80s and '90s. (like the Naked Gun franchise for example) and it works really well with the protagonist. It's not all funny moments that have no substance though. Underneath it all, there is a solid story being told that has it's moments that will hit you right in the feels. Making this a must-play game in my opinion. (Stories in games are a big selling point for me, and this one does it well)

I did receive this game for free from the devs, but my opinions are my own. The fact I am continuing to play through this for my YouTube channel is a sign that I really enjoy the game.

Cute. Crazy. Fun!

(gameplay video at the bottom of the review for anyone interested)

Fall Guys straight up looks like it's made for kids with it's over the top cutesy and vibrant colors and appearance on the surface. Once you play though, you'll see just how bloodthirsty people really are for the win. Which is what this game is all about. Win at ANY COST!

There is an assortment of minigames to test your mettle against up to 59 other people (60 total including yourself) and there can only be 1 winner. I have noticed people raging when playing this game online, but in that regard, it is no different than any other battle royale game. You will lose more often than you win, what matters more I feel is making it as far as possible so you rack up as many points as possible at the end so you can level up your season pass for that sweet, sweet loot.

The one big complaint I would have is the microtransactions. They may only be cosmetic, but this is not a free to play game, so having exclusive stuff in the shop that changes daily, makes it nearly impossible to get everything you may want without forking out some cold hard cash.

The other issue is how little you earn for the premium currency when you finish a match. They make it so it is impossible to earn enough credits to get what is in the shop, enticing you into buying more and more premium currency.

Overall I think this game is worth the price, but avoid the microtransactions if you can. I'm not a fan of how they try to push you toward it with limited time items.

I received this game for free, but my opinions are my own. This was not a paid endorsement)

Within the first few seconds of gameplay for Spectro, my very words were" This is like Luigi's Mansion in VR." I feel like that is a great summary for Spectro. From attacking ghosts with your Ghostbusters-Esque beam, and sucking them up with the same tool using the grip button. It is what you'd expect from a game that focuses on ghostbusting.

It doesn't end there. You are being challenged to make it to the top floor of the mansion to retrieve the Mask of Okeem in this roguelike game with added replayability due to this mechanic. not only that but you are also able to find coins scattered in each level which allows you to purchase upgrades each time you return to your home base. To top it all off there are challenges on each floor that gives special emblems which allows you to buy upgrades while inside the mansion itself!

Let's not forget the ghosts themselves! Fighting ghosts is really fun and can be really intense. Duck, bob and weave out of the way of their blasts as they try to defend themselves from the threat that has entered the mansion. (You!) There are also a couple of modes of movement for all types of players, from teleporting to free movement. there should be something to suit everyone that plays VR.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows, however. I personally had an issue playing this game, when I played Spectro through Steam VR with my Rift S headset. I couldn't access my menu (default B) after completing the tutorial. This soft locked me until I restarted the game through the Oculus app itself. So this is something to keep in mind if you are a Rift/Rift s owner.

Overall I would highly suggest this game as it has a lot of good points with no real downsides gameplay-wise. I would highly recommend this game to anyone that wants something new for VR that has a lot of replay value.

I received this game for free, but my views are my own. There are both things I like and don't like about this game and they are expressed in this short review.

Hopbound is a continuing narrative in the AppSirGames-verse (creators of Dere Evil.exe) that puts you in the shoes of Mayumi. A woman looking for her supposedly deceased boyfriend. Is he really dead? Does AppSirGames know more than they are letting on? Only one way to find out.

Hard platforming, a scary atmosphere, and a meta-story that will leave you wanting more. Hopbound has something for just about any platforming/horror fan out there. I personally can't wait for their next title.

As I have tendonitis in my right arm, the controls were hard for me to use as the majority of movement requires you to use the arrow keys, with no customizable control binds. This is probably the only flaw of this game for me, and it's more because of a medical condition.

Hopbound should give the average gamer around 2-3 hours of gameplay, which isn't bad at all considering this game is only $3

If you want to see how this game plays, here is a part of my playthrough of the beta of this game:

What can I say about this game besides I love it! Well actually...

I enjoy both the look and feel of this game, and the overall blood and gore don't turn me away as much as I thought it would. There are some pretty gross moments in this game, as well as some REALLY intense moments.

I'm not too far into the story yet, so I can't comment too much on that, but the reason for that is because I am just enjoying scavenging and surviving and I am in no hurry to end this game.

Melee weapons are fun to use, and there are a plethora of weapons to choose from. From broken bottles to mother loving Kitana's. Not to mention all the guns you can craft.

This game does indeed have a crafting system, which gives purpose to gathering anything and everything in sight. Crafted weapons and gear are better than anything you can find, so scavenge to your heart's content. You'll need every little bit of it!

Not everything is all sunshine and rainbows... In fact, I am doubting sunshine exists in this game. Many locales are really dark and your flashlight can be a hassle to just keep charged up.

Side missions can be missed if you do not do them straight away, so being stuck on a timer makes things extra difficult and frustrating when trying to complete them in just one day. If you don't finish a side quest, it will be gone forever, so keep this in mind and put your focus on side quests over the main quest if you're looking to do everything possible in this game.

Weapons (at least early on) seem to break too quickly for my tastes, and even with a powerful machine (specs below), I struggle to record this game and have a smooth experience. it is a resource hog compared to anything else VR I have played to date.

Weapons can feel clumsy at times as well as the game relies on broad strokes instead of power, so if you are swinging with a 2 handed bat, for example, swinging hard seems to cause it to do less damage, but a slow and full range of motion swing will do maximum damage. It would be nice to see a balance between the two. I want to be able to FEEL powerful when swinging that weapon and bashing in a skull.

Aiming weapons can be hard to deal with as well, this is a fault of all VR games in my opinion because you have a big hunk of plastic sticking off of your face, making things hard to hold in a natural way.

It is nice to see the devs working hard on fixing bugs and sending out fixes as fast as they can.

Overall I'd have to give this an 8 out of 10 and would bump it up to a 9 if they can better-optimize the game.

(video at the bottom of the review, as well as an update on my review)

If I could only say one thing about Hellsplit: Arena, it'd be this: Shield bashing ghouls into spike walls feels satisfying!

Hellsplit: Arena is what it sounds like. You are in an arena and killing things in sometimes graphic ways, and that's where the fun starts. You start off with a studded bat and a shield, and knocking ghouls in the head and watching everything just explode all over the place (even on you!) is both the most fun and disturbing thing about this game in my initial trial of this game.

Movement feels mostly natural, it does have flick rotation (rotating in an instant to help to prevent motion sickness) mixed with free-motion walking with forward and back. The combination works well and after about 30'ish minutes of play, I felt no side effects on motion sickness.

You have the ability to drop weapons and pick them back up in whatever hand you wish to choose. As a lefty, this is extremely important because I have a hard time using motion controls with my right-hand thanks to having tendonitis. This is where things also start to fall apart a bit.

Whenever swinging my weapon hard I had the tendency to tap the menu button on the left Oculus controller, (even when it felt like my hand wasn't leaving the left analog stick) pausing the game time and again. This broke the immersion for me many times over and started to frustrate me to a degree.

I also had issues adjusting the settings above low. The game looks great even on lower settings, but the issue I was running into was running out of memory when adjusting my settings above low. I'm not sure if there is a memory leak or what it is causing that issue, but with 16GB of ram, it shouldn't be happening and hopefully it will be fixed down the line.

Overall I would recommend this game. It's fun and the fighting is interesting enough to keep going through the story mode.

I will point out here that I did get this game for free from the developers, but my opinions are my own.

If you are interested, here is how my first half-hour of gameplay looked for Hellspli: Arena:

Update: October 25th, 2019

I jumped back into this game just to find a bug that in my opinion, is pretty game-breaking. I've hit a bug that takes your gold but does not give you the item/weapon/shield/armor you paid for. This has killed my want to play this game as seeing the sword in action in screenshots and stuff is what drew me to this game. Now it's all but impossible for me to even do the one thing I wanted.

While I still do recommend this game, be wary about some serious bugs with this game.

I received this product for free, but my opinions and thoughts on this game are my own

(There is a video on the gameplay at the bottom of this review)

Decay of Logos is a vivid, beautiful, and hard as eff! In the first hour and a half of the game I was stuck getting past what looked to be an onion with teeth. Once I got used to the controls however, things started progressing a little more. I graduated to the second onion with teeth, which ended up finishing me off time and again because the first Onion hurt me once.

Once I realized I can just choose to not fight them (by walking around the spawn points ) some progress was finally made. I walked up a hill and immediately died to a tree-like creature.

Skip ahead to the one hour mark and I finally start making progress. Gathered some armor, a new weapon, and still died many times over.

If you enjoy games like Dark Souls, and the like but find them to be too dark and gritty, then the vivid and bright visuals of Decay of Logos will be up your alley.

This is not a paid endorsement in other words.

(Gameplay of the first couple stages below)

Blazing Chrome took me back to my childhood with playing games like Contra and Super C. I learned that I am horrible at these sorts of games now compared to then, but I still have tons of fun playing games like this. Bullet hell. One hit deaths. Rage moments. This game has all the tropes of a game from the late '80s and early '90s.

While I do recommend this game, I would suggest maybe waiting for a sale as there is not a ton of content to this game currently and the price is a little steep for what you get.
