Coming back to this game 3 years later.. they changed FOV slider to max out at 90, which visually looks even lower.. and directly uninstalled this game again. Reading the forums and knowing they changed it a couple months after I stopped playing the game, it seems they will NEVER change this either.

FOV patch 22nd June 2021: https://www.seaofthieves.com/release-notes/2.2.0
"On Steam, players are no longer able to modify game files in order to exceed the maximum player field of view."

What a waste of time downloading 100gb

Game could be fun, but devs ignore the obvious cheater problems that plague this game.

Cheaters hit you like a laser from 200m+ not missing a single bullet, even if you dodge and jump around like crazy. (LMG's, SMG's etc.) I've seen a video on youtube showing how there used to be some controller input to mouse/keyboard exploit to reduce recoil to an absolute minimum and add aim assist. Not sure what cheats/software they use nowadays, but it feels the same.

Matchmaking is pure garbage, pretty much every game you get players that just simply rush to objective and ignore enemies, ignore teamplay -> they just randomly die and you are forced to fight 2 vs 3, while the third team is most likely on your tail, so it's 2 vs 5, giving the enemy team a free W, because they can just take the cashout with most likely no contest.
Or these players play hide and seek all game and completly fail at ambushing any enemy, being an absolute sandbag to the team, even a BOT AI would've been more useful.

There's plenty of bugs, most recently people noticed the crazy usage the goo gun has -> simply shoot it on an enemy, immobilizing him. He cannot shoot back, he cannot move and he can't use abilities (Not even heavy charge, you will still be stuck). Meanwhile those goo gun bug abusers either use flamethrower or melee weapon to completly destroy you while not being able to fight back. #fun #outplayed
Even better when someone blocks you completly for 10s+ straight being unable to free yourself, to take the objective or do anything else. What a great troll gun.

Game needs some balance changes
- Turrets are completly obnoxious and a no skill requirement -> reduce the health of the turret by atleast 30%
- RPG is also no skill requirement and almost one shots light, does more than half total hp damage to mediums. -> reduce damage to players, maybe increase explosion size to building damage for more actual play making.
- I've had so many encounters where a player gets resurrected by a medium with their defib right in front of me, I wait for them to fully materialize and yet even after that there seems to be 1-2s delay before I can actually deal damage to the player -> ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful hit register, making them get away more often than they should've.
- Honestly just remove light class, by design it's just an annoyance to a match. They are "assassins", but in reality they just spam stuns, spam glitch, spam invisibility, play hide and seek all game. Essentially they don't add "value" to an actual game scenario, especially if the player doesn't have the skill to play light properly. Meanwhile both Medium and Heavy have actual supportive skills.
- Add smoke grenade to the game for more counter-play for the massive amount of fire/gas usage, making some games a literal "dumpsterfire" where you have to WAIT for the gas to evaporate.. which takes forever, unless you somehow randomly find a smoke container...

Ranked system
- It's an absolute joke in the lower brackets, there's no MMR in this game. So after your first placement matches, you will be pretty much placed in either bronze or low silver.
Each rank up (there's 5 of each division e.g. bronze 5, bronze 4 up to 1 -> then silver 5), you then ALSO need to WIN 5 matches (there's 4 matches in one ranked game) to rank up. So to actually get to a rank where you are at your skill level it feels like a tiresome eternity going through noob lobbies.
- On top of that, I have literally witnessed that in those lower divisions even the biggest noobs can easily rank up. Why? Because often times in ranked games the scenario will end up 3 teams fighting each other and the fourth team getting an easy pass on the other side of the map with uncontested objective. (A team we've played against managed to win like this 3 times, until they obviously matched against us in the final match and got completly stomped, they didn't even get a single kill or what so ever.)

Now on some "less important" feedback
- Why is FSR3 not in the game yet?

Why even bother play this game?
- Daily grind still not reduced and by the time that patch comes out - irrelevant.

- When the game came out we were forced to play through all story, dungeons, raids etc. from tier 1 to tier 3, slowly learning and getting accustomed to mechanics.
Now new player just comes online, get free boost to 1540 with full stack level 7 gems, free to pick 5x3 engraving just equip highest roll accessoires, because engravings on them don't matter -> be stronger than people that had to grind gold to waste 50k-150k gold on accessoires through auction house + pheons + stone. (not even including books, when they used to be inflated from massive rmt/bots etc.) -> but they will fail mechanics, they don't want to join try parties, they have no patience, they don't want to learn, they want to get carried and get everything for free with no effort.
In a year you will get boosted to max level, maxed out gems with no effort. -> makes grinding gems/ilvl less rewarding and at the end of the day pointless

- Nerfing "older" raids, because new players and even longer time players are too stubborn to learn/play properly -> Skill requirement for game drastically decreasing -> less challenging -> baby content -> no fun.

- Daily events being always hourly is annoying -> often times lead to not being able to do any content for 10+ minutes, because you feel forced to wait so you don't miss world boss, island etc. (+ you should be there on time or else you end up in an empty channel not being able to complete the event + then you need to wait additional 3 minutes for the actual event to start) -> annoying wasting time.

- Bussing culture destroying the community -> bussers not playing their ilvl content, because bussing older overleved content is easier/faster/gets more gold. -> Their alts sitting around with bad equip/gems on ilvl, not ever wanting to use consumables even though AGS has been giving milions of free chests, leeching as much as possible in raids to earn them gold without any investment. -> always the one easy and convenient excuse -> "NeEd AlTs To PlAy ThE GaMe!11!1"

- KR notorious mokoko emotes still not present in western client, why?

theres probably more that I forgot about, but then again I haven't played this game in 2 months and counting, just weekly login.

Garry's Mod is a fantastic "game", which is actually a community-mod-based "game. It features the Source SDK, which is easy to get into if you look into couple of tutorials and is tons of fun to explore and create your own things! I've been pretty much enjoying this game since I got it gifted by a good friend of mine. It has tons of different gamemodes, maps etc. There is everything for everyone for each taste. If you create your own content and publish it on Workshop, it is easily accessable through GMOD aswell, because there is a Addon "Shop", where the newest Workshop items are shown and the most popular.
The only cons I have to give about GMOD, you need CS:S and HL2 textures to enjoy the game to the fullest, because most maps are made with these textures!
