ive been looking for a decent aquarium sim for years now. i dont have the time, space, or money to get into aquascaping as much as i want to.

being autistic i can be picky with games and this is my general review

ups
-the ability to customize your fish is great
-its so well animated and looks incredibly realistic for those who find peace or relaxation looking at fish
-the feeding is so cute and neat, all the fish go in for a bite
-its realistic in natural ways too, larger fish will eat smaller fish or try to
-crossbreeding fish is super nifty and you can get some cool markings and patterns (the fins can look really weird in a fish tycoon way)

downs
-it needs a wider variety of fish, especially for salt water options.
-tank shape options are restricted to rectangles
-controls are a bit hard to use, you have to click to put substrate down and edit the ground instead of just holding and dragging (which activates the camera rotation
-doesnt have any goals or story to keep players invested for long periods of time

suggestions
- add brown water options because i love black water aquariums, if its there i cant find the option!
-GUPPIES!!!! i love guppies
-baby turtles would be cute too
-semi-aquatic setups for more aquatic amphibians (or completely awuatic amphibians like tadpoles and axolotl) that you can include fish in
-id love to see different varieties of salt and fresh water shrimp! maybe even more crustaceans in total, like arrow crabs, crawfish, clams, snails, etc (i know snails arent crustaceans)
-larger tank options for salt water, which would allow for macro reef setups with small sharks, rays, and other bigger fish a lot of aquarium enthusiasts dream of
-adding various anemone, i also love anemones!
-add a storyline, make it realistic to what people do in real life, breed and sell fish to upgrade your tanks
-maybe have community votes and awards for scape contests, a in game money prize to put towards your setups

over all this is a great game and has great potential
i see myself loving this game for years and i'd def recommend this to anyone who likes fish
