Once upon a time, there was a kingdom that was governed by an old mad king. A group of rebellions arose, led by a brave young man with a good heart.

Unfortunately, the rebel army was crushed into dust. The young man was captured by the mad king.

He was castrated, tortured, and forced to wear a humiliating outfit as a court jester in the throne room, while the mad king and everyone else was laughing and drinking.

I am that mad king. 10/10

What's the real world? I don't know, I don't care. This is isekai experience.

It's like being in Skyrim first time. Forget everything you know. Forget the list, the prisoner goes to the chop-chop. Then the dragon goes brrrrrrrn. That's so ******** real. It's so BIG and SCARY. You think your mother is crazy huh Sven? Anyone would panic seeing that thing. And those giant spiders? oh lord, Did I use the fire spell calmly like in the normal gameplay? nope, the fire went everywhere because I'm so panicking. Spiders are my menace.

And the scenery, THAT'S SO BEAUTIFUL and I'm not even using an ENB. My VR play zone is right under my air conditioner (it's tropical here, no winter for you). Damn, even my aircon feel like a breezy wind in the tundra. It's so immersive.

Finally, the gameplay. I use VRIK, HIGGS, on and on... Damn, I LOVE picking up these potion bottles and throwing them right into the face of the sellers. I mean, why not? I can finally double slap Nazeem in the face to the cloud district too. It's so good. It's not like playing with an avatar. I'M THERE.

10/10 would pet the Khajiit again.

I hate my college's chemistry lab, but I absolutely love this game.

I reported a bug in their forum 3 years ago and they haven't fixed it yet. They only replied 'oh we already have this bug in the database'. THEN FIX YOUR GAME PARADOX.

Don't let my time in the game fool you. I have finished it countless of times before it is put in Steam.

This is a masterpiece detective novel. The only thing you have to do is reading. No choices are given. You don't have any interaction to the world in the novel. But why is it considered a game? because you, the reader, have to think A LOT. If you think that modern detective novels are unfair (like hiding some hints from you), then this game is here for you. Everything is laid out before for your eyes. The creator said that it is designed solely for you, to THINK. If you guess who is the murderer correctly, you win. If not, you lose.

YOU assume the role of one of the character, who are locked up in an island, where a serial murderer freely roams the island. You are granted Detective Authority. You don't have to worry about surviving, because detective doesn't die in a detective novel. Plus, what you perceive is the truth. Your sole duty is to SOLVE whodunnit/howdunnit/whydunnit. The whole novel consists of 8 episodes. What you get from this Question Arc is only the first four episodes.

Some of you may enjoy READING it for fun, for curiosity.
Some of you may enjoy PLAYING detective, to prove that your wit is superior.
Some of you may SURRENDER to the mystery, and think that the murder is the work of magic.
Some of you, however, may be able to SOLVE the whole mystery and know the WHOLE TRUTH.

If you love Agatha Christie's novels, then BUY IT.
If you love Sherlock Holmes, then BUY IT.
If you love Kindaichi/Ace Attorney/Higurashi/ etc., then BUY IT.
If you love detective novels, then BUY IT.

Seriously, just BUY IT.

tl;dr : This is CASUAL game.

Well, this is my first game in HOI series, but don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of EU4/Vicky2/CK2/Stellaris. I know that Paradox games are complicated and have steep learning curve.

However, HOI4 is FAR too simple. You only have to build factories to cope with your military spending, nothing else. There is nothing to do in peace time. No economic planning, no colonies management, no Army maintenance. Regional development is ridiculously simplified. You might think that why should I bother all other aspects?, it's WW2 game after all. Well, without economic planning, your country cannot collapse in pile of debt. Just build more and more and more army divisions. Nothing can go wrong. And since only few kinds of resources exist in this game, it means that many countries don't differentiate themselves from each other. They are just a bunch of the same countries with different names. The politic system is also simplified. Just click a button and wait for the change of your goverment. Hope there is no civil war though. It's like playing a C&C game in the full world map. Just build army to fight, no internal management.

I don't mind a game with complicate systems. Just throw it in my face and I will learn it no matter how complex it is. I will just return to EU4+Extended Timeline or Vicky 2+Ultimate for now. These games offer more freedom and dimensions. Don't misunderstand, I don't want HOI4 to be the same as other Paradox games, I only want it to have the same depth and freedom as other games.

The OSTs and Day/Night cycle are great though. I will wait for the future DLCs to change the judgement. Hope the Dev bring tons of DLCs to make the game richer.

บอกได้สั้นๆว่า มัน nostalgia มาก T T นี่สิถึงสมกับเป็นเกมที่มาขย่มบัลลังค์ Maxis ของจริง(ซึ่งโดน EA โรคจิตชัตดาวน์ไปแล้ว)

ข้อดี
หลายๆอย่างในเกมมันคือสิ่งที่หวังมาตลอด ระบบกราฟฟิคแบบ SimCity 2013 แต่ระบบบริหารแบบ SimCity 4 แต่ก็ไม่ใช่ว่าเกมนี้จะเป็นแค่ร่างโคลนของ SimCity 4 โดยเกมนี้ได้อุดข้อด้อยของ SimCity 4 ที่สำคัญอย่าง Pathfinding ของระบบ traffic ได้อย่างดี คราวนี้เราสามารถกำหนดเส้นทางของระบบขนส่งมวลชนต่างๆเองได้แล้ว เช่นสร้างรถไฟสายสุขุมวิทหรือสายสีลมได้ตามปรารถนา(ไม่เสียชื่อผู้สร้าง City in Motion) ไม่มี DRM ไม่มี EA มี Mod เยอะ ทีมงาน Maxis ก็มาทำ mod ด้วย ตัว Dev. เองก็อยู่ภายใต้ Paradox Int. ซึ่งชอบออก dlc เกมนี้คงอยู่บนเวทีได้อีกนาน

ข้อที่ยังต้องพัฒนาต่อ
1. ระบบกลางวันกลางคืนไม่มี แต่คาดว่าจะมี mod หรือ dlc ออกมาเพราะคนเรียกร้องกันมาก
2. ภัยพิบัติเช่นภูเขาไฟ เอเลี่ยน หุ่นยนต์แม่บ้าน(?) ยังไม่มี อดทำลายเมืองเลย
3. ตึกยังค่อนข้างจำเจอยู่ แต่ว่ามี mod ไม่ต้องห่วง
4. ยังไม่สะดวกในการดูสถิติของเมืองแบบเป็นกราฟ (หรือยังไม่ชินก็ไม่รู้) รอ modๆ
5. ความหลากหลายของ Tourist attractions ยังไม่เท่า SimCity 4 (รายนั้นสร้างได้เยอะมากกกก) แต่แค่นี้ก็เยอะกว่า SimCity 2013 อยู่หลายขุม แน่นอนว่ามี mod คงไม่ต้องห่วงเรื่องนี้มาก

สรุป ให้ 11/10 โดยแถมให้หนึ่งคะแนนแถมเพราะเครื่องจับควันช่วยชีวิตแมวไว้
