How do you spend so much money on developing this?

My experience is mainly just PvE.

Running solo as a beginner can be challenging. I enjoyed that a lot.

Running with friends as a squad seems so much easier after running solo. One of us was a veteran at that point, and it was easy to get everyone nearly looted to max by the end of the eight hour session. This could be a lot quicker if everyone knew how to play.

The scav/npc/ai is too stupid at times and can be frustrating at times. They can see you through bushes and trees. If you're running undetected but once you run about 75m from enemies they'll detect you even in bushes and cover. If you engage some enemies with a sniper rifle at 200+meters, it seems like the AI doesn't trigger the AI to engage you. The helicrash missions is the only one that constantly go after you at any distance.

The size of the map is huge. Maybe for a busy PvP server, that could make sense. But for PvE, it just seems overly big without benefit and therefore lots of travel time spent. For PvE maybe having missions and cities no further than 400m would work. I oddly enjoy the fear of death, you know you'll have to run to your body for the loot, and you don't want to be running that much, so you really should be careful in battle. Maybe re-spawns shouldn't place you more than 2km away from your corpse? I can see that working for PvE, but I don't know about PvP. Maybe the map should scale it's size and available missions according to PvE/PvP?

At the current state of the game, bases seem to have limited value as just a re-spawn option and storage. Maybe the developers could add some mission as a defend my base from NPCs raiding it? (get like 5 yellow suitcases to make that mission available)

The game seems to have some big potential, but currently the endgame aspects are lacking. I'm really hoping Bad Pixel and TinyBuild are able to add endgame content for DeadSide.

I enjoyed the game and the big potential is there. Only time will tell.

I love this game, it's probably in my top 5 favorite games of all time. It's great the game is updated often, but I wish there was a 7dtd2.... a part 2!

A mixture of GTA, borderlands and saints row. I'm 17 hrs in and enjoyed it a heck of a lot. There's been 3 glitches where I had to reload. 3 glitches for a new game over 17 hrs doesn't seem bad to me at all. I'm surprised that the graphics look pretty nice, though on my i7-6700 cpu and gtx1080, i can't play on max settings as expected. This game makes me wish I had the money to update my system so I could play it on max settings. It already looks pretty good now, and since I'm enjoying the game so much, it makes me really wish I could experience in max settings.

Maybe the only negative comment I could make is the missions can seem repetitive since you're going somewhere to kill the enemies there or fetching something. But what game isn't like that when you break it all down? I enjoy the gun play, the looting of new guns, leveling the character, upgrading skills, melee battles, etc.

Life and games, it's about finding a repetition that you like or are okay with.

17 hours in and I still want to get back in, eager just like 2 hrs or 5 hrs ago. That's a good thing. It's fun!

Some of the side quests are freakin' awesome for the storylines and characters.

I haven't been reading any of the hundreds/thousands of lore/messages you find everywhere. Probably a huge plus for some people, but I'm too lazy to read that much :(

I don't think I give reviews that often, but I felt this game deserves it. They did a good job. Sure it's not perfect, but to me if I'm having this much fun, it's basically perfect :) it seems so rare to encounter new games that draw you in this much.

------

I'm 100 hrs in now, and enjoyed the heck out of the game. I wish I was more into melee fighting, because I would have an incentive to start a brand new character with that type of build. I prefer playing a sniper build in most games like this. Restarting a new build into standard rifle doesn't seem too appealing right now.

For me the usual mission/gig is approach the area, look for a good high location to snipe. Use the "ping" ability on enemies and objects then using the scan mark all enemies with the middle mouse button. If you happen to get to a computer that has the network option, going through all the cameras and then marking all enemies is super easy too. Afterwards, I might try to go silent. But 97% of the time, I just use my sniper to shot through walls and headshot everyone. The overwatch sniper rifle seems overpowered, but fun. Each mission can range from 5-15 enemies. After all are taken care of, I go loot. Do any of those number puzzle hacks. Finish looting, review loot, disassemble or sell as desired. Then repeat the next mission.

It's repetitive, but enjoyable.

I wish there was some type of endgame that was more enjoyable to grind. The gameplay is fun, so I wouldn't mind grinding once you get to a high enough level.
