1. Very good graphics. (i'm not a graphics ♥♥♥♥♥ anyway, so even if it isn't next-gen, idc)
2. Very good storyline. (multiple storylines, some better than others)
3. Very good voice acting. (top-tier)
4. Very good gameplay. (tactical/strategic)
5. Very good music (Raphael Theme)

The bad:
1. Bugs/Incompatibilities - the typical stuff with broken questlines, pretty normal in an RPG these days. My issue was hardware-related, It took me a week to find a fix for my game and computer, I was having constant crashes. It was simply overheating, as the "recommended" settings for my system were running entirely too hot. In my case, I had to lower the maximum potential of my CPU. My system isn't new, by any means, and I'm definitely running this rig till the brakes fall off.

That's it. That's the only bad, and they've addressed a lot of the bugs in the Patches, and I hope Larian continues to do so until this game doesn't have a single bug left, then, and only then - will this game be one of the very few masterpieces I've played in my 30+ years of gaming.

It currently is a masterpiece, but a little more polishing wouldn't hurt. Tons of replayability to be had here, as well. You just have to get creative - explore different 'alignments' and choices, and different types of characters (melee/magic/ranged). You could go for an all-out aggro strategy, or a control strategy - or a mix of both (which is the natural party build).

70/100
Game is pretty decent, I got my $13 out of it, I think. It could use a lot more base content, though.

Stability is an issue.
And honestly, it's boring.
I have a job IRL, I don't need one in a game, running to and fro being someone's slave and delivering this and that. There's zero roleplay, and the combat isn't challenging at all.

I was under the impression this was going to be like "Skyrim in space", and it's not even close.

I've played and replayed Skyrim a dozen different times under a dozen different builds and characters. I've put about 40 hours in this game, and it puts me to sleep.

Seriously, it makes me yawn.

It deserves a 7/10 at best, not considering the price, but when considering price; for $70 it gets a 5/10.

If this was a $50 game, I might give it an 8/10.

Pros:

Excellent Combat Mechanics
Good Graphics
Engaging Storyline
Impressive Mech Customization System
High Stability and Bug-Free Gameplay
Cons:

Poor Weapon Balance
Unbalanced Boss Fights
Frustratingly Difficult Missions
High Price Tag for the Overall Experience
Armored Core 6 is undoubtedly a great game, earning a solid 8/10 rating in our book. However, its $60 price tag may leave some players feeling slightly shortchanged. In reality, it's probably worth closer to $40-50. One saving grace is the replayability offered by New Game+ and New Game++ modes, which significantly alter mission structures and extend the game's longevity.

One of the game's main drawbacks lies in its weapon balance issues, where some options are clearly overpowered, rendering many others obsolete. For example, a loadout comprising the stun needle, song birds, and gatling guns can trivialize most boss encounters, diminishing the appeal of the extensive arsenal.

The regular enemies in Armored Core 6 often pose little challenge, while the bosses can be frustratingly difficult. This imbalance can lead to numerous retries and occasional feelings of unnecessary hardship during certain missions.

One way to overcome these challenges is by resorting to YouTube tutorials and strategies, a practice that feels uncomfortably close to cheating but can be necessary for players with limited time due to work or other commitments.

Ultimately, Armored Core 6 offers a compelling experience, marred by minor imperfections. It's a game that caters well to dedicated players willing to invest substantial time mastering its mechanics. However, if the price were more in line with its quirks and uneven difficulty curve, a perfect score of 10/10 would be within reach.

PIMP OUT YOUR GRANDMOTHER IF NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE THE GOLD TO PURCHASE THIS BEHEMOTH OF A DLC.

just kidding, don't do that to granny. but this DLC is just that amazing, it adds a whole new layer of depth to the game.

this is an entire evolution and upgrade to the underlying mechanics of the game itself (in a good way).

I find myself actually reading the dialogues between characters now and roleplaying a bit more- they've effectively added a whole new layer of customization. (and i'm not even talking about the barbershop which is something i will probably never mess with, but i'm sure it's great too)

the UI upgrades (troop counts, etc) are worth the price of the DLC alone, imo. Such a quality of life improvement.

It seems in this design process they've implemented "Kaizen" (google it) methodology, everything is neat and tidy in the UI.

hunts and feasts are actually quite interactive now. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it.

Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done, Paradox. Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done. You deserve all the 'accolades' you barbarian Norsemen!

Was a SimCity addict since I was like 6 years old.
My mom had a b/f who had a b/f who had a computer, and I was fascinated by this "city building" game at such a young age.
Then it came out on the Super Nintendo. Filled up entire maps with polluted-ass cities at age 9.
Age 12 is around the time SimCity 2000 came out. Then there was 3000. Then SimCity 4... and then.... what the hell happened to Maxis? (EA?)

THIS is the new SimCity experience going forward. It scratches that itch, and it does so in a wonderful way. This game will always have replayability IMHO due to the constant balancing act that a good city needs.

You'll find new ways of dealing with traffic, and although it is annoying, it's what makes a good city- and YOU a good city designer! I like to create footpaths all around my neighborhoods, with trolleys, buses, metro stations- whatever it takes to keep all my roads "green", if you know what I mean.

All-in-all the base game is worth every penny. I can't speak much on the DLC, I think I own one content pack (and regretted it instantly)... seems a little expensive for a couple maps and a few new "items" so-to-speak. If they were $3 a piece... maaaaaaybe.

Early Access Review
380 hours on record...
Can't recommend at current price.
Game is essentially, IMHO, still in "early access".
Haven't seen any major updates or patches in like a year. 2021 they were pretty steady, 2022 it's like they just gave up doing ANYTHING.

I don't give a damn about the MP, and haven't even tried to use it. First, when designing a game, the SP experience has to be top-notch. I was given a promise that this would be a AAA title when I purchased it, and I got a AA instead. This, among others, will be the last "early access" game I ever buy. Early-access games are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and a cheap way for developers to make a lot of money up-front for a half-assed half-baked product. This would never work in the real world, but somehow in the video game industry, companies get away with it.

Now the combat in the game is awesome. But once you master a couple weapons, you realize that the meta is horseback riding, anything else is inefficient, and yes I've tried to multiple different "foot-soldier" builds, and they don't compare. You die too easily. So you're basically locked into horseback combat, and the most efficient tool on horseback is.... you guessed it, the lance! You could argue for archery, which is fun, but eventually you will run out of arrows. Typically in a normal battle, I could get maybe 30 kills with a horseback-archer build, but with a lance... there is no limit. Upwards of 120 solo kills in some battles. Once you reach this "peak", there's little room for further development or things to do.

Trust me, I've tried. There's certainly some replayability, but only about 400 hours worth... and that was me basically squeezing every bit of value out of the game as possible- and that stopped last year. I haven't played it since because there's not been any serious updates or additions in content.

I absolutely do not recommend this game at it's current price.

This game is worth $20 at best, and that's purely because it has some of the best medieval combat mechanics I've seen- and that really is about it.

1,344 hours.

That should tell you something.

Then again, I'm addicted to painting maps.
