I'm not a fan of the new black and white colouring. If the devs are sad that there's a new, better version out now on Steam, maybe they should update this version once in a while and freshen it up. Just because there's two versions now doesn't mean this one has to stay dead.

I can think of a few things they could be doing, like updating the net code in their multiplayer matches, fixing the Chinese, updating the lighting, balancing some of the new units, etc. It's been literal years since they've touched this game, maybe Retold should be the wake up call that there's still people out there that care about Age of Mythology, and that this game is still worth poking every now and then, instead of leaving it to rot for 4 years. Still a great experience, and a nostalgic trip for those who like the older graphics and old version of the Norse. Though personally, without any updates coming to this, I see no reason to play it now. I'll still recommend it though, since it was a large part of my childhood, and this is the closest version on Steam there is to the original.

From the nearly 600 hours I poured into this game, I give it a 7/10. If this is the end of Age of Mythology: Extended Edition, then I don't think my score will go any higher. It had a good six year run of updates, but now it's time to move on to Retold. Unless of course, I'm proven wrong, and they do update it at some point. Either way, 7/10.

Honestly, I could never get this tool to actually run well on my amazingly fast and compatable computer. I never understood why, it just never runs when I want it to. I've got it to run in the past, but when I did it was really laggy. I don't understand how SFM is any different from Source SDK or Team Fortress 2 itself. Please, I want to use this tool. Valve please.
