complete insanity, love it <3

While is not the best game, especially technically (oh no, port is actually bad), DS1 is one of the most solid action-RPG experiences i ever had.

While is feels sliiightly aged, its still outstandingly good.

SOTFS tried to do a lot of things right, but messes a lot of stuff.

Pros over vanilla
- Dragon shrine is much much better
- Shortcut in no-man warf
- HD sounds of barrel breaking
- Better draw distance

Cons
- They REALLY messed up placement of enemies, its BAAAAD
- The same for some of the items
- Weapon durability is not fixed

Neutral
- While it claims to be HD remake, actual graphics are not that different, sometimes textures are not more detailed, they are completely new, Heide's Tower skyboxes looks completely different, but still great.

Cant recommend it, vanilla is better, sadly

Really good game with some flaws in level design after midgame.

I cant even compare it to ds1, setting is quite different, which triggered a lot of people (that's why ds3 is a fanservice for ds1 fans).

Some bosses suck, yeah, no doubt about that, but even if i exclude them, ds2 offers tons of content and challenge (Company of champions, NG which actually changes stuff, LADDLE).

While ds2 has some mob placement flaws after midgame, Scholar of the first sin did too little right to address that problems, EXCEPT Dragon shrine.

Recommend vanilla DS2 over SOTFS.

Pros:

Good emulator configuration.
Fine performance.
Controller support out of box (though steam big screen doesnt recognise it).
Tons of artwork included.
Boss rush mode with online record mode.

Cons:

No local/online multiplayer for Chip'n'Dale.
Menu item change sound (really high pitched noise).

Overall really good release (cant call it remaster, its the same roms + emulator), but lack of multiplayer for chip'n'dale saddens

This game is basically Metroidvania with elements of Dark souls-like games. And better character progression system.

This game is better than Dark souls 3.

Excellent level design and OH MY GOD excellent level shortcuts.

I wish it had steam cloud save support.

If you're Dark Souls Veteran - good luck relearning controls, that would be your first boss for 6 hours.

После выхода 4 игр "Souls" серий по игре Dark souls III становится понятно, что разработчикам неинтересно исправлять какие-либо недочёты механики игры, делать нормальную камеру, проверять правильность работы хитбоксов и делать рабочий онлайн, который работает в DS2 лучше.

Вместо этого они сломали ковенанты и сделали одинаково спамящих аттаками неписей и боссов (Странно что к ds3 нету претензии такой же как к ds2 - "боссы - мужики с мечами"). А ещё игра работает хуже и медленнее того, чем она выглядит.

Сюжета в игре нету.

Единственный плюс игры - графический дизайн и дизайн уровней. И то умудряешся поймать себя на мысли что уровни настолько же не запоминающиеся как в DS2.

Трата времени и денег.
