10/10, amazing game, worth the money and time investment. Lives up to legacy of predecessors.

Asking to link PSN account to be able to continue playing after 3 months of it being optional while game is being sold in countries that are not supported by PSN. Provided reason is for security reasons while PSN is known for regular breaches and user data leaks. Also animation locks and breaks, misleading sounds of reloading and healing, bugged dodging.

Edit 1.06.2024: Sony moved back from PSN enforcement. Game however is still not available in non-PSN countries. Additionaly new patches and content seems to be released untested and buggy. Some annoying bugs are still present after months. It is fun to play anyway, but I still can't recommend it until those issues are adressed and/or fixed.

It took them 1 year, but game is finally close to what it was promised to be on release. There're still some issues (lacking crafting, terrible RNG regarding to loot and overall itemization, still no seasonal updates, recent rework of skill tree isn't really new subclasses), but it's at state where I can recommend it to new players. Soundtrack is on fire, gameplay is solid and visuals are the most w40k there have ever been.

Good simple game to be played from time to time. Just don't binge it :)

Exceptional game. Though I won't count the times when mount going straight on the bridge decided to jump to the side into water in the very last second.
Interesting lore and story as long as you don't go deeper than surface - then holes and inconsistencies come out.
Mediocre port. Requirements to run 60FPS above 1080p for 2017 game are ridiculous. If Forbidden West ever gets ported to PC I hope they'll do much better job with that.

If you work 9-17 don't bother with buying this game. Queues worse than employee treatment in Amazon warehouses.

Edit: queues are no longer a problem. Though New World still has many other issues, so it's closer to being okeish than ok or good.

Overall good game. Good single player, good soundtrack, great graphics and optimization. Multiplayer battlemode is so, so.

Cons
- frequent FPS drops and crashes
- desync is still there
- day one cheaters
- new map is unbalanced garbage, especially in squads
- no M416 skin 4th pass in a row

Pros:
- a little better skins than in previous pass
- boomerang?

Still full of bugs, still affected heavily by desynchronization, you can still find cheaters, but it's still better for me than other BRs. So I guess it's ok.

Update
After playing 1000h and several seasons I can't recommend this game any longer. Core issues (desync, cheaters, items not loading even 2 minutes after landing, random crashes, random FPS drops) are still there. Even if something was done to fix it, it was either broken again with later patches or didn't work at all. Even though new features are mostly ok, you can't enjoy them due to issues, that were present in the beta.

Update 2
500h more and 2 years later some things were fixed and improved. Going F2P helped. There's still some work to do, but I can recommend this game more than not at this moment.
