This is going to be a great game. It's very reminiscent of Papers, Please! but with more interactive aspects. During my playthru of this prologue I only encountered one annoying issue. Reloading cargo. It'd be great if there were a load/unload mode.

MP is repetetive and grindy as all hell.

SP is neglected.

Modding (OpenIV) has now been shut down, meaning that the little fun you could create for yourself in SP and SP only (since O4 doesnt allow the game to launch online with modified RPFs) is now completely gone. So now you're stuck with the boring grinding and constant spawnkilling in Online or the boring repetetive experience of an unmodified SP with literally none of the MP cars, weapons, or features.

I love it! But I have my gripes.

Pros:
Visuals are stunning. Light shines through plants and trees, leading to stunning visual rays and effects.
Sound effects are AWESOME! They're directional, immersive, realistic, and plentiful. Not to mention VERY high quality.
MASSIVE world(s). Both reserves are HUGE. More than enough area to actively hunt for hours.

Pro/Con:
Populated world with more animals than the ones you can hunt. Rabbits, birds, squirrels. However, I've dropped 2 rabbits and I haven't been able to harvest any of them. It's a shame.
TONS of animals, but many of them are very tricky to hunt if you don't spend 10k+ on a specific caller for that type. Coyotes are tiny, for example. damn near impossible to spot in dense vegitation, and their acute hearing and scent leads to not being able to sneak up on them.

Cons:
No explanation in the slightest of what the stats mean for the different weapons. I'm not willing or ready to spend 20k+ on a rifle that is potentially worse.
Animals will NOT go down in a realistic manner. For example, if you hit an animal in the neck and pierce the spine, chances are it'll drop instantly. But not always. Which is frustrating. If you hit an animal square in the lungs with the Polymer tips for the standard rifle, they don't drop. And the blood trail is practically always "very low" I'd imagine that if you hit an animal in the lungs with an expanding round which causes a big internal cavity. Also, hunters can vouch for the fact that even if you hit an animal with a FMJ round in the lungs/heart, it drops. But not here.
The sound you emit is constantly topped out *Going to get fixed in the future*
A ton of items can't be unlocked until you're at a VERY high level. 15+. Which is hard as frig.

There is potential. I love the game. But it needs to get better, and I hope they do work on it. Because there really is a lot of potential.
