Did You know 99% Of Gamblers Quit Before They Hit Big?

Joking aside....

Russian Roulette may be pure luck, but swap the revolver for a pump-action shotgun, mix in live and dud rounds, and add Inscryption-esque items, and you've got Buckshot Roulette. Developed by Mike Klubnika, known for his eerie machinery horror games, Buckshot Roulette offers a more strategic take on a deadly game.

In a dingy nightclub's back room, a demonic dealer awaits, loading live and dud shells into a shotgun in random order. Players take turns shooting themselves or their opponent. Dud shots skip the opponent's turn, while live shots take a life, revived by a clunky machine. The round ends when someone loses all lives, aiming for victory by the third round.

The second round introduces items like the magnifying glass for peeking at loaded shells, cigarettes for life restoration, and handcuffs for opponent skipping. This adds depth reminiscent of Inscryption.

Running the numbers on shell probabilities, deciding when to shoot or use items, Buckshot Roulette offers a simple yet engaging puzzle experience. The tone, weird machinery, and Inscryption-like feel make it compelling.

Klubnika's signature weird mechanical devices are present, from the mechanical table to the shotgun itself. Every detail, from the whirring of hidden compartments to entering your name via an elaborate device, adds to the game's atmosphere.

His games offer short, intense visits to unexplained places, building mystery and dread in a brief playtime. The contrast between vague mood and detailed devices grounds the experience. Rather than a conjured quill, you tap your name into a device printing letters on a liability waiver, emphasizing interaction with tangible reality in otherworldly settings.
