Look. There's a lot of politics around this game, especially version 2 (1.5).
However, at it's core its fun, free and has a lot of people playing with constant updates, to me that's a game worth at least trying.
I wholeheartedly enjoy this game for it's competitiveness and for a casual game with friends.
Love it or hate it that's for you to decide and not everyone else on the internet.
Would recommend.

A simple card game... it's not, it's much more than this.
Every time I thought I was starting to understanding Inscryption took me on a wild journey to a different place, I downloaded and played this expecting a causal card/story experience and ended up immersed in a continuously twisting psychological puzzle.
I can not recommend this game enough.

A rushed cliche' scifi which doesn't know the type of game it wants to be.

The Uncertain is a point and click adventure with wonderful aesthetics, huge potential but is extremely shallow under the surface. The underlying story has potential to be really deep but often flounders with little to no context or character progression. Considering this is the first episode I expected a hook, a reason to want the rest of this story but I was left empty, a little confused and barely enticed.

Gameplay
While this is mostly a point and click adventure and puzzle game a few times it steps out of this genre and adds things like evasive driving which is completely unnecessary and a quite frustrating.
Camera angles and lack of camera controls rival early resident evil games and though the puzzles and fetch quests are simple enough they can be blindingly obvious but require 'future information' to be interacted with.

Voice acting
Credit given where credit is due, this game does have pretty decent voice acting. The main character however sounds extremely depressed and I was hoping this would tie into the story line some how but so far no.
There is one point where a character doesn't have voice lines at all during a conversation which was a little odd and could be a sign of rushed production.
There are also quite a few spelling mistakes in the subtitles and at one part the subtitle says the complete opposite of the voice line, considering this is from a Russian developer one can assume there were some errors in translation. (written 27/09/16 | note this may be fixed in an update, check update logs)

Final thoughts
After playing the entire episode and completing it I am left with the feeling this was rushed. The developers seemed to be more interested in adding meaningless gameplay mechanics than developing the story which is a real shame as it has great potential. I could have happily stunted my game progression had the story unfolded more and given more reason behind the protagonists actions. As a first episode to a series this missed the mark.

I did appreciate the near infinite references to other games and movies though.

Killing people as 6 year old, how can you go wrong?
Open world-ish gameplay and inventive deaths makes it a good game however it's a little let down with poor directions and very little hints. Some areas will have you wandering around for ages looking for a clue when it turns out to be a tiny marker on the ground which you need to be 1ft away from.
Overall a good game, storyline feels rushed but for the morbidly curious this ticks a lot of boxes.

A beautifully dark game that puts you in an uncomfortable perspective of suicide and depression.
Primarily a puzzle game with less puzzle and more story that purposely tries to shock and test your morality, If you have a weak stomach or a happy view of the world I would not recommend playing this game.
This game caters for the morbidly curious, you know it's morally wrong, you know it's going to disturb you but you still want to see it.

Some of the voice acting cracked the immersion for me (the nurse at the hospital) but most of the time I felt I was being read a story that was very engaging. There are some choices which effect some of the gameplay but in the most part it is a linear story.

I enjoyed the game to it's fullest and left me thinking a lot about choices I make in my own life and how it effects the people around me.
I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys horror, gore and dark stories with a passionate mystery and meaning behind them.
