You probably don't need a review for this game, since everybody likes it.
But I'll give it to you anyway.
Garry's Mod is a sandbox game where you can do anything that has to do with Source games, such as HL2, CS:S, and more!
Garry's Mod IS technically a MOD, so it is best to buy HL2 and CS:S along with it. HL2 because GMod was originally a mod for that game (which is where the mod part came from) so HL2 is almost essential to play GMod, and CS:S because of TTT, Prop Hunt, and basically any game mode you can find. The community made GMod such a sweet game. On multiplayer, you have TTT, the classic hunt of 1/2/etc. vs. everyone else; Prop Hunt, Hide and Seek that takes itself way to seriously; and more including DarkRP, Stranded, Hide & Seek, and a whole lot more.

If you want to play by yourself, that's fine. You can play on the sandbox mode, which allows you to do anything you want. You can build flying bathtubs, make ragdolls do crazy stuff and record it to upload on YT, and more. Plus, you can "play" other MP gamemodes by adding bots. Which don't really do much, but hey. That's life.

With Minecraft, you can add tons of mods to the game to make it even better. With Garry's Mod, you can do the same thing with Addons. Just go on the Steam Workshop, subscribe to something you like, and boom! More guns, NPCs, Ragdolls, whatever!
