Be a great game if they would get rid of their crappy server host for their official servers.. it goes down and takes forever to come back up.

Fun and addictive game. But beware, it is highly luck based. I've got all the achievements but for a few which I'm suprised anyone has the patience to get. You can't get 'better' to achieve them, you have to be extremely lucky. It doesn't take but a few hours to figure out how to play all your cards the best way you can, the only thing that changes the outcome is the luck of the draw. It gave me 20 hours of entertainment for a few bucks, can't beat that. The only downside was that I was hoping for some big celebration screen when completing all the tournaments. :(

I have over 50 hours in this game, got the best ship, all the best weapons, did almost all the achievements (but for a few that I found would take forever). For a 20$ purchase this game is excellent. Simple and fun.. I didn't go the route of trading much because simple the combat was too enjoyable to pass up. If you are looking for a good, build your ship, fight epic battles, build some more on your ship, fight bigger epic battles, then this is a good game for the money. I'm glad finally there is a game that you can actually beat again instead of the 200+ hour games that you feel little is achieved in the last 10 hours you spent on it. It's a solid game, never crashed. Had a few instances where some of the escort missions seems quirky with the AI routing, but all in all, they worked. The things people say about not being able to fly vertically, well.. it's really not needed and this game works great without it. It's a broad side battle game. It's probably not much in reply ability though, but I can spend 20$ at a movie theater and get 2 hours of enjoyment and probably never watch the movie again. This was 50 hours and well worth that SS.

I only have 5 hours in, but this is arguably the best roguelike game out there. With that said, if you don't like roguelike games, then this is probably not for you. You will die a lot, you will slam the keyboard down a alot, you will pull your hair out a lot, you will wish you never purchased the game a lot, but.. you will still keep going at it. Every dungeon crawl takes it out of you and you will get back to the town and have to take a break before managing your characters by sending some to the brothal to relieve some stress, or lock em in a dungeon to get rid of some nasty quirks they picked up in their last crawl. Each character will be pampered with upgrades in skill, weapon and armor and then stragetically assembled into a group of four to take on the denizens of a particular dungeon. It sometimes feels mind exhausting, but that just makes the rewards better so much better. Those that give this game a low rating apparently was expecting something different. It is what it is, and the developers did a fine good job at it.

Squad is the game I've been looking for for a long time. It combines the tactical realism of Arma with the more traditional FPS feeling such as Insurgency or Battlefield. This being said, it is definitely not Insurgency or Battlefield, but its own beast. I have pretty well fallen in love with this game. Every match is different. It's usually "cap this" or "find that" but there's so many ways it could go, like one time as the Americans we had finally moved to the last capture point in AAS only to find out a group of Russians had flanked us and taken out one of our earlier capture points, so two squads had to move back and assist while my squad sat and defended the last cap point. We were surrounded by mountains and were getting constantly hammered by gunfire, people were yelling in chat, smoke was everywhere, people were shooting off grenade launchers, etc.. It's moments like these that make this game great. So far I haven't encountered many rambos but that's usually because I stick to squads with mics. Performance is also pretty good at around 30-40 FPS on epic settings on a GTX 770 w/ i5-4670k, however if you have AMD don't bother. My friend can't even run the game at 20 FPS on his AMD computer on the absolute lowest settings. Now, do I think this game is worth it at its current state? To me, yes. However I can completely understand if you would disagree. I believe it is worth it due to the constant changing of the game, how no game is the same as the other. This is enough to keep me interested, and the community is great as well. The launch was also great, there's a number of bugs but you would almost think the game was complete if you had just began. To me it doesn't even feel like an alpha, but an already solid game at release. I'm really glad they didn't take the DayZ approach of "Add stuff first, fix the game later". What's even better is the game is only going to improve from this point.

Hold off or buy RUST, because after 550+ hours I can tell you this game is far from worthy of your dollar. I stood by it for a long time, I defended it as being alpha, I talked it up to everyone. But no, after two years we still have a worthless pile of glitchy garbage. Any sort of close quarters combat is impossible because everything you're seeing is about 2 seconds late. Your player tends to randomly stop, put his weapon away, and pull out a random new one at the worst times possible. Sometimes you don't hear gunshots. Your legs can randomly break if you go over certain areas. Sometimes you can't hear gunshots. Almost every gunfight in close quarters consists of you being shot and dying before you even see the other person raise their gun. Sometimes guns won't fire. Sometimes you can't aim down the sights. Sometimes you can't switch weapons (All the time, more like). Sometimes you can't climb ladders. The game is ridiculous. Please, spare it the time I obviously didn't and do not buy this game until it comes out, if it ever does. As previously stated, I defended this game for a long time but there's no excuse for how terrible it is now. Go play RUST or something, but stay away from this.

Easily my favorite FPS of all time. Superb gunplay, killing is satisfying, good intense sounds, etc.. My only complaints is the graphics aren't the most beautiful and I wish the Insurgents spoke a different language, but it was meant to run well and doesn't really NEED these to further the gameplay. Immersion is great, and the music is low and intense. I highly recommend this to anyone with the slightest interest in the game. With great replayability, it will have you coming back for many hours.
