Been a while since I wrote a review on Steam but considering the amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ surrounding this dlc page I feel really compelled to do so. This dlc is not "too hard". Every souls game tries to the top the other in terms of challenges. This should be no exception, and yet, I've seen plenty of people with limited souls experience still complete this dlc. Few reasons I gather as to why people are complaining, but I believe that this is the most signficant one: they are not taking advantage of tree fragments and ash upgrades.
These are unique mechanics added to the dlc to encourage you to explore as oppose to rush towards the required bosses. Even pre-patch, a handful of levels in the fragments makes a huge difference in your damage output/resistance. The early bosses were a lot more manageable with some exploration before hand. But no, apparently people just want to speedrun or solo everything like they did with easier titles. They got used to their skill level and want the experience to remain stagnant. Why insist on not taking advantage of ashes and fragments? To solo everything? You're not good enough, either get better or take advantage of the resources being thrown in your face. Embrace the change.
Is the dlc easy? No! I didnt think so. I thought the final boss was insane, took me 6-7 hours to beat him but I still did it. You learn, stay on the grind, adapt, etc. I didnt even max out my tree levels, and my character was still under level 200. I didnt have some specific cheese build, just the same ♥♥♥♥ I ran through the base game with. How did anyone unlock the dlc in the first place without expecting this sort of crap?
Enough with the ranting though, while the main criticisms are overblown for this dlc, I'll admit it's not perfect. The performance issues are well warranted, I got a lot more dips than the base game and it even threw me off on some harder fights. I doubt From will make significant optimizations but we can only hope for the best. Some of the AoE attacks on the bosses are also ridiculous, but their usual patterns are predicable and still consistent. Ultimately it is still doable.
Overall mixed reviews on this dlc is absurd. This is one of the most expansive and rewarding experiences I've ever had with a game add-on. Give the dlc another chance, with a fresh mindset. This is an experience that you will never forget!

Don't listen to all of the ironic reviews. This is legitimately garbage and quickly becomes hard to push through. The premise you are thrown into is full of RANDOM and FUNNY characters like a talking oven, a farting little kid, Joseph Joestar, and the Colonel himself. I'd quite disagree with the latter, as I had a blank expression the entire time and just started skipping through all of the dialogue. The music I muted within several minutes. A couple points that are interesting include: BEST GIRL Aeshleigh, decent enough effort into the art and intro animation, and an acceptable UI. The last two points are probably only due to the game being made in an existing engine or template, or I just assume that is the case. Don't waste your valuable time on this even if your favorite E-CELEB tells you to

A better Star Wars story than all the prequels and disney films could ever dream of being. I really like this game, and years later, I only appreciate it even more. If you can get it running well on a modern system then I'm sure that you'll fall in love with this game as well!

One of the greatest games on the PC! The game world is just brilliant, featuring a twisting story about government conspiracies and humanity. With the great soundtrack and dark visuals, you will be immersed in this game's world. The atmosphere is just developed really well by this.
Otherwise, if you're not one who cares about story, the gameplay can be a bit clunky, but still holds up well in my opinion. Looking from an RPG perspective, this game has plenty to offer in terms of replayability and roleplaying. There are many ways to build your character with skills or upgrades, and there are numerous ways to solve quests. One playthrough is simply not enough to truly appreciate this game.
While this game does have flaws, they have a very negligible effect on the experience. The graphics are clearly dated, and the voice acting can be downright terrible. Some weapons also don't work as well as expected, such as the crossbow. Again, these issues should not get in the way of enjoying the game. If they do happen to bother you, or you're just looking to spice the game up a bit more, then there are always mods such as GMDX and New Vision to improve the gameplay and graphics. I highly recommend buying this regardless of how you choose to play.

This is a really interesting RPG, so I'll just start off by listing some of the aspects of the game that liked and disliked. The dialogue choices and writing are superb, and you could just go on and on listening to what NPC's have to say. I really liked the different choices available throughout the game and the various ways that you could complete quests. The setting and lore was what really kept me hooked. It really made the atmosphere feel great. The gameplay as whole was good, but I felt that the combat was clunky. Fighting enemies ranged from somewhat fun to frustrating. It's really just mashing left click and popping your magic on every now and then. Stealth is also broken, and you can really cheese enemies this way. In addition, the game seems to be rushed towards then end, and your character build starts to matter less since you're forced into stealth or fighting sequences. With that said, I would HIGHLY recommend installing the unofficial patch. It restores a lot of the content missing from the game and fixes numerous bugs. With the patch installed, VtM:B is an excellent game that you will enjoy from beginning to end. Multiple playthroughs are definitely worth it since each clan plays very differently and there are many ways to do quests. Buy it when you get the chance.

Great strategy game. Lots of ways to play and plenty of solid mods to keep the game fresh
