Monster Hunter is by far, the game that I'm glad I invested on. It's without a doubt one of the best games I've played with my friends and alone (sometimes) and the lore of the game is also a fun to read about. Pick up Iceborne for full experience btw. I got the Iceborne DLC the moment it was ready for pre-order and it was hella worth it. It received its final update; Fatalis and is now a solid and complete game.

OH AND THE FOOD IN THIS GAME IS HOLY HELL TASTY. Especially from babushka cat (Iceborne).

Story-wise. It's great. I like it. I'll be honest here, you're gonna have a tough time. Monster Hunter has always put the spotlight on you and WILL tell you to do things on your own so don't get too worked up when there's no NPCs helping you at all (except for some missions but even then they're useless lol). But, fear not, that's where the game teaches you about it's online-coop c:

There's a BIG selection of weapons, armor and decorations (these are like skills that you slot in your armor) for you to choose and customise your Hunter and they're VERY flexible once you've reached the end.

Longsword, Greatsword, Chargeblade, Lance, Gun lance, Insect Glaive, Dual blades, Hunting Horn Heavy & Light Bowguns. 10 types of weapons to choose from. All are unique on their own. All are solo capable. I personally like the lance, dual blades and the Doot Doot c:

I don't know what else to put in aside from endgame fashion hunting. Once you're up there and capable of fighting bigger and meaner monsters, you get to grind for layered armor which are basically cosmetic armor that's layered above your armor set. Meaning to say, if I for example am using Fatalis armor (final endgame iceborne monster), but I prefer the slick look of Glavenus or another type of armor. I can grind for those cosmetic armors instead to put over the fatalis. Oh did I mention mix & match? We can mix & match.
