Amazing game, also, check the steam workshop, some of the mods are great if you want to have more freedom to test stuff or want a more chill experience, ex: Edit Wands Always, Long Life Gold, x5 Invetory, Minimap, Items work in inventory...

I only played the base game, bought it when it was 85% off, and at that price, yeah... it's absolutely worth it.

I saw a few people complaining about the game being too hard, but IMO only the early game and the 3rd big boss are 'hard', if you hit a wall just farm a little, then craft/upgrade your weapon/armor, even if you're not super good at the game eventually you will have enough damage and hp to kill stuff faster/ take more damage.

The shop management is fun at first but later it gets a little too boring, that's probably the main reason I don't feel like playing NG+ (new game +, aka: replay the game on a higher difficulty with some extra stuff) right now, I don't know how I'd fix it.

Combat is simple, but very fun. The character attack only in the 4 cardinal directions, but the controls are good enough, so that is not really an issue for me.

Having said that, the default controls are pretty bad, I end up keeping movement in WASD and changing most of the other stuff to my mouse, like scroll wheel = change weapons/inventory page left-right | M1 = normal attack | M2 = charge attack...

Managing your inventory is a little annoying, mostly because you can't use your mouse to drag/move stuff, but also because if you want to min-max you have to deal with some inventory mechanincs like: some items can only be placed on the sides, others break items that are in a specific direction so you have to place it in a corner/sides...

So unless you get lucky early and find a specific 'thing' that makes the inventory 'better' (I never found it during my 1st playthrough), you'll waste too much time in dungeons managing your inventory, instead of doing the fun stuff: killing monsters/ exploring.

This is like a mechanic that would be okish if you could replace, grab, move inventory items using the mouse, but with a controller or keyboard it's super slow.

Overall it's a good game, I would not buy it at full price but if it's cheap it's worth it.

Actually pretty fun, you can play it as single player game and probably still enjoy it, the bots are absolutely fine on the first 2 difficulty modes.

I feel like if it had a little more variation, it could've kept things fresh for a lot more time.
I absolutely would not mind if the maps/missions were shorter and instead we had a few random 'segments', that changed things a little every time you play, like paths blocked, random events, etc.

It's a really competent 3rd person shooter rpg, it's basically a dark souls shooter, you have respawn points (works just like bonfires), your hp is low, you have limited 'potions' to recover hp and they only recharge if you rest on the respawn lcoations, so you have to dodge/run to avoid damage, many bosses where you have to learn their attack patterns...

I finished the main story, played some of the scenarios in adventure mode, the maps don't change much but they do have some cool random events.

I will still play for a little bit to try the survival mode and test a few guns, but I do kinda feel like I'm done with the game. the game is not THAT good to make me want to test other builds, or try other character. So unless the DLCs are a like a MUST PLAY or some friend wants to try the coop I would probably not replay it.

Having said that, overall it was an enjoyable experience.

It's a fun TD, some maps are super frustrating, I also dislike the way the game allows you to place your monkeys (towers) crammed together (no pre-defined spots), but overall it is an amazing game with interesting towers + upgrades + heroes + many maps + map challenges, etc.

I'm just a sucker for these tower defense games...

The game is great, the price is great, you can totally play with mouse and keyboard, the game gets a lot easier when you understand that you have iframes (invencibility) if you dash WITHOUT attacking, and some of the permanent upgrades will also help you a lot. So, if you get stuck, don't give up.

Gameplay, Music... everything is amazing. There could be more map/enemy variation, but that's not really a big issue. I completed the main quest in ~40h and there is still a LOT of stuff to see/unlock.

-If you haven't already then go check the developer page here in Steam (Supergiant Games) and play their other games (Bastion, Transistor...), they are easily one my favorite devs, the games are just too good-

The controls are a little too annoying to get used to. You kinda need a controller because playing with the keyboard is simply atrocious. You move using both analog sticks AT THE SAME TIME, you don't really control the camera like you do in other games.
I usually, and often, prefer to play stuff like dark souls with keyboard/mouse, and I have no issues with it, but this game... yeah.. I think it's a super bad idea to buy this if you don't own a controller.

If you can get around the controls, then yeah, it's a pretty good/ fun game. I actually never got used to the controls (xbox 360), but I still think it's a good game.

You can finish the game, playing all maps, in 5~7 hours, if you want all the achievements then it will take a lot longer.

I would probably buy the other Katamari games if they were available here in Steam.

Pretty fun game, controls are simple and feel good. There are some sync/lag issues, but most of the time that's not super noticeable. It's free, so there is no reason to not give it a try.

issue: random laggy matches, like it doesn't seems to happen very often but I had some matches where I had like ~230ms latency and it's pretty much impossible to play the game, so if they throw you in a match where the server is not in/near your region you are useless to your team.
if you are the goalie, oh boy, it looks like you're trolling, and you can't even comunicate the issue. They could at least allow you to click the latency/ping to let your team know that you're not ruining the game on purpose.

Maybe just allow people to select the servers/max acceptable latency or at least show the latency on the character selection screen so you can quit the match.
