I'm not usually the type of person for rhythm games of any sort, but I can definitely say that this one is one of the rare exceptions. The game play was actually fun, the music was amazing, and I feel that the overall take of having a rhythm game tied into a shooter was actually a very well executed concept for this game.

My only real gripe with the game (and it's honestly not even about the game itself) is that I can't buy the soundtrack so that I can put it on my phone and listen to it while I'm at work. I know some people would say to just rip some of the uploads off of YouTube or extract it from the game files directly, but I'd personally rather throw a bit more support to the developers by purchasing a copy of the soundtrack officially. Hopefully that becomes an option in the future.

I honestly enjoy the format they went with for this remake, and I'm looking forward to eventually seeing the rest of it.

As much as people like to complain about some of the issues this game had (or still has, admittedly been a bit out of the loop on the updates), I still enjoy this game. It looks nice, I like the music, and it's honestly a game I find to be fun.

I honestly regret having purchased this mess of a game. I got it as a recommendation by several friends before we all realized just how much of a mess this game was going to be, and because of my work schedule, I ended up owning the game for too long to even have the option of getting a refund. Between the bugs in the game, the story being about as gripping as watching paint dry (I ended up just looking up videos for the story, and it wasn't that good), and the continuous lack of certain features that should be present, I truly cannot recommend this game to anyone.

If you want to drop $60+ on a game, drop it on something else that's actually worth it.

I used to play this game all the time on XBox. I had a blast of a time with it, and while this many years later after, having access to a good rig, I decided to buy it again and relive the fun times I had with my buds. When we all got together again and launched it, we were greeted with the NAT type restrictions.

If you do not know what a NAT type is or how to change it, this is a warning to tell you this game may not be for you. Expecting the average user to understand what a NAT type is is an unrealistic expectation that at best will cause head aches, and at worst ruin the average users ability to fix the issue and resort to tech support. I am cognizant of how old this game is, but unless you have a tech savvy friend and exactly 1 friend is required to be able to play with everyone, you will never connect and get frustrated.

However, if you want to just dump hours in zombies like I have over the years, by all means go for it. I loved all the zombie maps and recommend Origins. Archangel is the best zombie song and you can fight me...If your NAT type is open. For that reason, my review will be negative, but on the stipulation that if your attention is for zombies that you should by all means go for it if you're a masochist like me and solo it.

CS:GO Review
Unless you enjoy dealing with hackers, having some kid yelling into their mic because you didn't buy them a weapon at spawn and then having said kid shoot you out of spite (even though they're on your team), and/or dealing with a constant issue with hackers (even more so now that the game has gone free to play), CS:GO honestly isn't worth your time or money (assuming you're thinking of putting any money into the game). The game going free to play with the inclusion of a battle royale mode doesn't fix that, and Valve's clearly just jumping onto the bandwagon for battle royale modes because everyone else is doing it.

It's always amusing to see people get mad about how this game is free when they think it has a price tag on it.

And even after playing for a few years straight, I'm still enjoying it as much as I did when I got back into playing it again a few years ago.

Between having a shoddy cheat detection system that can either be overly ban-happy if you're just playing in a public session with someone else that happens to be cheating when you get in or just flat-out not work at all against the people who actually are hacking in the multiplayer, a somewhat toxic player community (not everyone, but a good portion of the GTAV community seems to be rather toxic), and now essentially banning the use of mods for the single-player story mode of the game by putting up a C&D order against the OpenIV dev team, I think it's safe to say that Take-Two Interactive clearly has no desire to even trying to set themselves in a good light. They don't care if you're having fun by using mods in the single-player segment of the game; you HAVE to play it how THEY want you to play it, no ifs/ands/buts about it. The single-player on its own isn't bad, but it's definitely lacking in a way that mods helped to liven it up and make it more enjoyable (even if it was downright goofy at times).

But hey, what do any of us know, right? Take-Two Interactive clearly knows better than us about how to have fun with a boring story mode and a multiplayer that's riddled with hackers in almost every lobby/session!

I won't stop others from buying this game if they really want it, but I certainly won't suggest it to them any time soon. Yeah, the multiplayer can be fun with friends (though you'll usually end up in a private session as a result), but the story mode is lacking in too many ways for most people to consider it fun after a certain point.

-UPDATE-
As of June 24th, Take-Two Interactive has managed to try and take a step in the right direction by allowing OpenIV to continue and is attempting to work with the OpenIV dev team. However, the entire ordeal that happened due to the C&D they originally placed, as well as some of the problems mentioned above, has left a relatively sour taste in everyone's mouth. As such, I unfortunately still won't recommend this game to others for some of the reasons mentioned above. If anyone else still wants to get the game, then by all means, you go right ahead; it's your money, and I won't stop you. But I personally won't bother recommending this to anyone.
